@@hectorabcdefg9076 there are plenty of natives still unmixed and speaking native languages in Mexico, and many of them yeah, do have Spanish surnames, because native societies before did not have surnames. But some native names were made into surnames, because of that some natives and also mestizos in Mexico have Nahuatl or Mayan or other native surnames. Like family name Xochitiotzin is famous in Tlaxcala state, and there are other examples as well
Amerindians are the original people of the American Continent from the Bering Strait to Tierra del Fuego. Amerindiana DNA is unique, it is not found anywhere else in the world, except in the Indigenous people of the American Continent. Africa has its own people, Asia has its own people, Europe has its own people Australia has its own aboriginal people and the American Continent has its own original people, cradle to one of the seven ancient mother cultures of the earth.
@@teresaguerra7532 1st Nations are already a mix. A huge mix. Usually most people have white heritage somewhere down the line. 'Black Native' mixes are rarer. 'Asian Native' mixes are even rarer!
There is nothing in the world that feels better than the drums thrumming through your entire body and soul. It's a beautiful experience to be standing next to them.
I'm a 30 years old brazilian man. My country is a huge mix of people from all over the world, so I have no idea of my origins. Still when I listen to this powows I feel at home, as if I have found my tribe. They make me feel stronger, less lonely and part of something much bigger than my own self. God bless you guys for sharing this beautiful song!
Anishinaabe ekway. Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. The land of the Cree and Saulteux..MOCCASIN COUNTRY. I live in the US now, but I cannot tell you how much I LOVE the Northern Cree. The style of pow wow music back home is different than in the US. (Love all pow wow, but I LOVE NORTHERN CREE!!!)
Thanks. I haven't heard this kind of thing before but I'll look for other pow wow. It is really intense! Worry a little bit about them hurting their throats, though. Finish song, spit blood... ;-)
gwapegan61 actually Northern Part of Saskatchewan is Dene country not Cree...Btw we don’t use Indians in Canada, you should of known that. “Indian” is being replaced with “indigenous” in Canada. Because we are not Indians. Hahahahaha
May these songs never be forgotten. May the old teach the young about the ways of their ancestors. May all Native Tribes become big again and claim back the land of the buffalo, wolf, bear, eagle, turkey, hare. May their rivers be clear, drinkable and full of fish. May the plains be filled again with buffalo, the woods with deer, wof and bear. May nature finds its ballance again. Than the old ways can be again. Love from the Netherlands 🌷♥️🌷
One of my native students shared this with me yesterday. This is not my music, but there is so much butt-kicking going on in this song, so much joy and determination, I love it. The international language. And I needed it yesterday. Thank you, gentlemen, and thanks, AW, for sharing it.
@@LitoMyer It's a figure of speech describing something that is decisive, forceful, effective. And yes, Trevor Standing Soldier, I'm obviously a white person, about as white as they come. And yes, I respect great music and courageous people, whatever color and culture they might be.
I'm an argentinian mix of italian, spanish, french, german and native. That last part of my blood feels chills down my spine with the native chants of all América (the continent, the only América)
Natives have been doing things like this for THOUSANDS of years before whites, blacks, and most other people even came here to U.S. or Turtles Island. Amazing isn't it?
Omg! I’m a woman and I would pass out singing that high! That’s freaking crazy aweomse! Native singing sounds never similar to korean traditional singing kind of. I wonder how long they practiced for. Because I sing two songs and my throat is sore
Culture is totally amazing as an Irish man i totally get it we had ours robbed from the hands off the colonial british but its alive a well today thanks to certain peoples i love listening to northern cree makes the hairs on my arms stand its how it was in the day love it long may it be the same 😊😊
God Bless you fullas man love you and respect yous so much after all we go through we still standing strong again love and respect from a Wakka Wakka brother from south east region "queensland, australia". ✊🏿🤎✊🏽❤✊🏾🖤
The original Founding Fathers. Chief Joseph, Crazy Horse, Red Cloud, Sitting Bull, Geronimo, Little Wolf, Tecumseh, Little Turtle, Pontiac, Powhatan, Cochise, Black Hawk, Osceola, Spotted Elk, The List goes on and on from here…
Came here because I miss home. Being a native off the Rez and in a big city, miles from where I came from, I get home sick a lot. Thank you for making me feel happiness and pride when I’m down.
For anyone wondering these are the Northern Cree Singers from Alberta, their the best drum group in all of Canada and probably the whole world. They have CD's and music people buy and they have been to the Grammies before, they are the very best and well known drum group in the world.
When exactly us the powwow in Hawaii? I'm full-blood Choctaw/Mvscogee/Cherokee. I've always wanted to visit. It would be the petfect time! Maybe I can plan for next year!
I'm a white Canadian woodsman, and I have no idea why this music speaks so deeply into me. Trained in geology and forestry, having spent many years just walking through the bush, this is the music of forests and plains, marshes and lakes and clear running streams. For a long time all I saw was natural resources, but then God opened my eyes and I saw creation and how we had messed it all up. These native guys get that. It's so much more than just 2 by 4's waiting to happen, or ore bodies and tailing ponds. Listen to their voices. They are coming from a place the rest of us have lost. I just wish like hell I could get back there.
Certain musical instruments can do that. I’m also Scottish Irish and the bagpipes and drums they used was very effective in not only saying that we are coming but also we are going to kick your a** in the process 👍👍I’m also Cherokee on my father’s side. Drums are a powerful weapon and in my opinion is saying what my heart feels. You are a warrior in your heart 💪💪🥰
@@Ducth_Legend I asked tyrone, but your answer dose not seem you're correct. To my ear they are singing in unison some words that they all know. That's sad I am a human and humans do see patterns were known exist so your answer might be correct. It just seems doubtful that such a harmony could come about through simple screaming unintelligible sounds.
@DLpac Lweis to be mexican is to be half native Spanish conquistadors and natives from Mexico make up a Mexican Native Americans are any tribe native to the Americas it's not just exclusive to the US and Canada
@@rickmonarrez257 the tribes in Mexico are called Mexican tribes like Aztecs who rep the Mexican as a ppl. Natives with bow and arrows and feathers defeated the Spaniards. We fought the Mexicans cuz they would kidnap Navajos and sell them into slavery. You should learn your Mexican culture and history.
I am from the Mixtec nation in Oaxaca and a Canadian too. These brothers make my heart swell with joy, for we are long distance cousins yet we share one commonality, we are the true original inhabitants of this continent. Your Blood calls mine like the sun calls to the red clay that gave birth to our nations. Your songs make anyone with native blood feel pride.
I have lots of native friends. When I was in school the Native dancers would come and dance for my school and I even joined in a native circle dance and everyone joined in and we had so much fun. This brings back good old memories
@@DaveMoongazer My comment above only explains a small part of our collective experience as native peoples of the Americas. When you hear songs like this, you are listening to the deep connection we have with the land physically and spiritually. You hear in our voices the pathos and are able to feel the collective suffering we have endured through out the centuries. In our songs you find the voices of the millions whose blood soaked the ground. Finally in that same sound you also can hear our pride, our hope, our culture and our gift to humanity. Celebrate with us, support our native cultures, cultivate our languages, cultivate our collective love for the land.
@@markyahuaca4777 so much truth in your words, not many are ready to break their indoctrination. many have had their spirit taken away and prevented from realizing the great history from which they come from and the lies told to the masses to keep them down and prevent the realization of their true and pure essence🤙🏽🤜🏽🤛🏾🙏🏽
As always....Assume! You should feel chills and tears...its just natural, when the singers are tuned in, as the Northern Cree always seem to be...thanks for your post, great video!
As a immigrant to this country I say this will full pride of my adopted country, these people are the REAL Americans and keepers of this land. May your culture and traditions live on through the ages. This land is a testimony to your long lived ancestors
My prayers to all native indians who dieds in all wars to this earth and a big world in peace🙏🙏🙏 Im Romanian man, and every day when i listen this music i cry
