my first cutaway at 2000ft due to 3 line twist.i could not get out of them so i had to chop it.it was caused by turning right on deployment while wingsuiting.(body position)
esquad 540 it also helps to have the proper gear like bottomless corners and bigger pilotchute and being stable on opening 😅🤷🏻♀️along with a more square canopy
Started skydiving in '91 and gave it up to start flying lessons in '99, the first time I saw one of the wingsuit videos was of Jeb Corliss and it added another goal to the bucket list, should I ever come to have the time and money at the same time, it will be outstanding!
From my confortable sofa, and if it can serve to somebody, don't loose time! i would suggest to rapidely unzip arm wing, grap risers, press them together and twist them in order to move the twist to a lower position, from lines to risers, thus you will be able to grabe lines over twists to steer and navigate or stop rotation, then when everything is calm trajectorywise let it go, the twist being compressed near harness and risers will turn you rapidely to normal position untwisted.
plaiskool64 at the time of this jump I had 60wingsuit jumps and total of 260jumps. Or somewhere near that jump number. I have 1800ish Skydive’s 290base jumps along with over 500wingsuit jumps now. I was yes inexperienced and made some mistakes. I have since learned better skills now. And have used this technique now. Works great. I would encourage others to use it. I was also jumping at a old school belly flyer dropzone most of my pre 500jumps and wasn’t learning much about new techniques. I learned how to fly wingsuits on my own by following the sims and watching others from sadly yea RU-vid on deployment etc. practice many times on the ground in a smaller suit for deployment etc. did I learn the right way probably not. But the mistakes I made back then I had no teacher. I taught myself. I finally moved to a new dz and relearned everything. Since then I have become a way better flyer and teach people how to wingsuit the correct way. Since I never had the opportunity
@@PNWBLUEBARON Yep i saw that you posted that in 2015 and figured out by now you would have lot more jumps. i posted that so hopefully it can be usefull for somebody to have an other path to work on and have other hints and ideas of procedures that has been proven as you said. Cheers mate :)
You worked the low speed malfunction until decision altitude before making a good cut away and reserve pull. Well done and fair winds for future jumps.
Yes it does. RSL gives a little breaktime as it is connected to main chute risers so main is already cut off when reserve cord is being pulled by main chute. There are cases where main and reserve entangled because of rapid pulling of cutaway/reserve handle.
Linus Magnus it’s so quick that regardless it’s already gone as soon as you cut away unless it hangs up on something which I could tell nothing was going to. Would you like to see my recent cutaway it’s even more sketchy. I also had about 300jumps at this video. Also skyhook Mards and rsls do the same as I just did. Canopy was gone before reserve was pulled.
FlyHigH TV Only people who are scared to jump big suits don’t progress quickly. My progression was phantom 4jumps,tony s suit 30jumps,x1 tony 10jumps, x3 tony 10jumps,aura 6 jumps. I purposely got into flat spins on each one to train to get out of them. If you want to have fun in big suits you have to train hard and dedicate yourself and take calculated risks. If you feel good about it keep moving up. I have over hundreds of jumps on the aura series currently jumping the 4. Jumping gear that’s made for wingsuiting helps out a lot jumping. In this video I was jumping unfamiliar harness and parachute gear that was my dzo’s. The so called gloves 🧤 are just gloves we use for students at the time due to I left my gloves at home and didn’t want my hands getting too cold for deployment. I actually use husky mechanic gloves you can pick up at home depo for 8$ in so called Canada that be about 9$ because merica is better. I’m from Washington state from Mercia.
This was very very long ago I believe I was slowing it down but not flaring because flaring wasn’t really a thing back then it was just starting to become a thing a couple years later
Linus Magnus 150sq ft I'm not 100% sure on brand. It was my dzo gear 😅, and was a long time ago. I currently use a aura 3 with a sabre 120 and a 30in sky snatch. I also know how to deploy better now Hahahaha
Linus Magnus I love my Sabre 1 120. Canopy worked great with my budget.I recently have a epicene canopy 130. Works a lot better. Epicene Pro is released now. I would recommend that canopy now. I have over 500 wingsuit jumps now
