Hello, Just discovered your channel and subscribed... Just wondering, you build these speaker enclosures but do they actually aid in good music reproduction or are they just eye-candy?
Very nice , I enjoyed the restoration, I enjoy any video of a refurbishment you perform , I've learned a lot here in the last year and still learning , I enjoyed the content .😃👍
The background noise in the part where the foam was removed from the old speaker sounded like a horror movie. Perfect for Halloween! 🧟♀️ Satisfying video as always though 👍
Ok? Um Feliz Natal para você Amigo Brasileiro!
a little paint on the membranes of the bass speakers and everything would have been almost perfect .... anyway the result is more than satisfactory .... bravo
tastes are not discussed ... my opinion is that he could pay attention to details a bit because it's a shame of so much work .... new boxes, new canvas on the masks, and leaves the chassis of unpainted speakers, membranes
in all the woofer drivers that you restore, you can use treated cloth edge surround rather than using foam surround, treated cloth edge sounds far better than foam, midbass+midrange good on treated cloth edge.
The speakers he fixed and the one he put in seems different, the membrane covered the whole speaker while fixing without holes.lets say he drilled holes how to match the membrane coming until steel rim and next there is a lot of gap between membrane edge and rim. Could be my bad .I see a lot of fake videos so getting skeptical
Yeah, I guess he got a spare set of bass drivers, because he coudn't get the voice coil centered on the old ones (you can hear it rubs when he tests it). But it's not fake like the reverse ones that are obviously BS. More mistakes he made was using a polarized capacitor (that will break very soon), sloppy soldering, and no sealant used. The woodworking was pretty good though - even with minimal tools used.
