I always learn something cool- the apple symbolism - I got the original sin aspect but it never occurred to me the Fairy Tale reference- the poison apple! She said her inspo was coming out as bisexual, and this was a reaction to people still thinking LGBTQ+ could be “cured” by conversion therapy. I like your analysis and interpretation of what AURORA is saying in this song. Especially your insight about how (and why) the dance movements evolve as the song continues! As additional points of interest -- the masks reference ancient Greece as seen through the lense of 1920's art deco, with a direct channeling of the Mad Hatter's dance from the movie 'Alice in Wonderland' (along with -- as a background -- an actual recreation of the set from that film). Plus a sample from the soundtrack to the movie 'Brazil!' Many layers. Also invoking Dionysis.

I know the song isn't as emotional in its composition as some of her others, but the playful beat and tones with the message I think hits just right. It's a celebration of being who you are and thriving in that truth. Be free to bop, move, dance have fun and screw others who are upset that you don't fit into their smug boxes.

The first idea was me saying, ‘I don’t need a cure for me - just let me live, man!’” She continued: “Why is it so difficult for people to just let others be themselves? Then I thought that it could mean many other things. People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they’re not like the people they see in front of them. It’s so sad that it doesn’t take much for us to really doubt ourselves.”

Loved your analysis, you mentioned a lot of things like I haven’t heard anyone else think of. The significance of removing the mask, the apple which everyone wants you to take and the more unique dances of the masked figures, it’s all great stuff!

I think she is telling the world that sje doesn't need a cure for herself, and her way, her mannerisms. I LOVE her unusual mannerisms and her way of BEING the music, all things. People have picked on her for those finger, hand movements etc. She is perfect in herself. We all are. Yu nailed it bro, she is sending us a message that we are ok without the masks etc. I have felt for sometime that she is like a Buddha. Hi, nice reaction and thoughts I think the metaphore with the apple are a asskick to religion, about the fairytale about Adam and Eve, there poor Adam ate a bit of an apple and doomed mankind to eternal sind. Religion has always claimed ownership of right and wrong, and i think (hope) Aurora are asking questions about this regime, who so many people are stearing their life after.

Notice the line about Gods? This song was written a few years ago, related to conversion therapy for LGBTQ. The song is written more widely but religious conversion therapies is what Aurora said motivated her to write this song.
