I've been so looking forward to reacting to another AURORA video. This definitely did not disappoint! I just loved this song.
Welcome to my “Modern Life for the 70's Mind” RU-vid Channel. On this channel, I not only take a look at the songs and history that made us who we are today, but also introduce you to today's modern music as well. Any songs that combine the two are always a winner. I've always loved music and have always tried to keep a balance between the classic music I fell in love with and today's MUCH DIFFERENT sounds. Here's we'll analyze both. We’ll even take some time and revisit some of the old parts of our past that have disappeared from today’s shelves and most people’s memories, I call it Bob's Cabinet of Curiosity. Let’s relive those moments together! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your day to check in. I appreciate it more than I can say here.

Your interpretation is pretty dead on. Great reaction! She wrote this when she heard that there were still organizations in Norway and around the world that were still performing Conversion Therapy to try to "cure" people of homosexuality. Aurora has identified as bisexual and is a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. The message of the song has expanded to just anyone who feels different or picked on for their differences to be OK just being you. The dancers really don't mean much, other than being fun dancers, although people have remarked that Aurora is the only one not masked. The dance, while not the actual Charleston is certainly based on the 1930's Flapper-era dancing.

Hi Peter. Thanks for the information. I just wasn't sure of the Charleston dance. It just seemed a bit different, so I wasn't sure. Seems pretty close though. Either way, it was enjoyable to see her have a little fun with it. I really liked the song and the video. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it.

I picked up on the fact that the background dancers were all dancing very regimentally at first but as it went on and Aurora was doing their own thing they broke free and started to freestyle and have fun.

Great reaction - I'm really enjoying your Aurora journey. So, although I think her live performances are the best way to enjoy her, most of her music videos are mini-masterpieces. I'd suggest "The Seed" for the powerful impactful message, "Winterbird" for it's sheer beauty, "Queendom" for it's joyful exuberance and "The River" just because!

Ohh, loved your reaction again.😁 So much great content. And you discuss the video in a great way. Yes - be who you are, make no excuses. And then the discussion about conversion therapy. Her way of presenting these matters are just lovely, and very creative, I think. And I fully follow you on your thoughts about her voice. She is really unique, in every respect. And there are so many really great and creative videos, also very uplifting ones, although I know you also cherish her more sad/really serious/deep ones. That said - we do know that all her songs deals with serious matters, whether they are happy, up-tempo, sad, slow or whatever. She is just a unique song writer and artist with capital letters. I hope you will react to all her videos (and live, of course), and I'd also like to mention the video Day Dreamer as a very happy and uplifting experience. 😁😁

HI Sean. I''m getting ready to "likely" change this up a bit. My videos are getting too long and the RU-vid Analytics are making that very clear. It's hard to get a persons attention for 20 minutes. In the format that I'm using now, I really have to rush through the Curiosities section, which takes away from it a bit, in my opinion. I'm thinking of splitting up the reaction from the Curiosities. What I would do would be to have a link at the end of the reaction video with the one click link to the Curiosities section. That way, if anyone wanted to just watch a couple of the Curiosities segments, it would be easy to do. I would also likely refilm some of the ones I've already done, maybe add a little more information, and yes, try to make it look better visually. I really appreciate this feedback. It really helps me out, especially since I'm thinking about making a few changes...no ultimate loss in content though. Thanks!

Hello again :-) I really have to say - you have a sharp mind. Not too many hidden messages in this particular song, but you pick up on so many small details that many listeners probably miss out on. I particularly liked the part where you discussed the muffled sound. That thought haven't struck me, even though I've listened to this song like 20 times. And also the two dancers in the background, that they possibly play the part of the other sides of Aurora's character, the ones she says she doesn't need a cure for. Great reaction again ! And thanks for the shoutout to Norway, too !! Take care !

Really great reaction 👍👍 About the song: "Cure for Me" discusses the widespread misconception that LGBTQ+ individuals need to be "cured" and that they are sick. Aurora challenges this view, sharing that no need needs to be cured for love, saying she hopes there will never be a cure for human nature. She also uses the song to discuss her own sexuality, reaffirming prior mentions of her bisexuality.[7] In the same interview, AURORA dives deeper into the song, touching on the legality of conversion-therapy and personal shame for being oneself. The song was written more in support of her fans than as a discussion of her own struggles. During an interview with NME, Aurora revealed that the song was actually two years old and that her team took a long time to realize that it could be a single. She later said to Euphoria magazine: "I was in Australia on tour and then instead of having a day off in between the gigs, I asked my drummer and co-producer Magnus if we could rent a studio for a day and have some fun. I had this theme I wanted to get out of my head [hums melody]. I just really wanted to make a song with this ugly theme and we made it - my team kind of discovered it a few years later and said, 'Ah, this is lovely, we should make it a single.'" Other examples of songs that aren’t sad: “Exist for love” is Auroras first love song 🥰 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7YDkrJaiCrw.html “Queendom” official video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wULeXeQkqd0.html And even though it’s a serious song with an important message, you should definitely react to “The Seed” official video 😍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_Mc_OM5oNA8.html

The song in general goes against institutes that offer a so-called cure for homosexuality/bisexuality. In doing so, she directly affects the topic. And of course it should increase self-confidence and self-esteem for everyone who needs it. I think that she's also pointing the (middle)finger at her critics and against people who call others crazy or creepy or laugh at them just because they dress differently, have ticks or otherwise fall out of the norm. All movements that are otherwise involuntary with her, she makes here with full intention. Her wide open eyes, her hand movements, Shaking her head and her involuntary twitches. Everything is clearly highlighted with the camera in various separate settings. That didn't have to be so it was intentional. "I don't need a cure for me" Furthermore, Aurora is the only one without a mask. She is the one who shows her true self and does not hide. Everyone else wears one and seems to bury Aurora in the sequence in which she looks almost panicked into the camera. Which for me is an indication of bullying. She painted the masks herself and her sister made her outfit. It should also create a bridge to "Exist for love". I think the "Exist for love" reference at the very beginning (Aurora in the Crystal Ball on the Shell) had its reason. The song was also criticized. That wouldn't be Aurora and why is she singing such a song? Why only love between man and woman? And so on. The usual stupid talk. The apple is from the Garden of Eden (the forbidden fruit and sin) and Aurora likes to bite in.😁. Which brings us to the Christian faith and its views on what love between two people should look like. In addition, the apple could also be a reference to the sentence she once said in an interview. Why can't there be a wish inside an apple? Anything is possible if you believe in it. 😁 And by the way, the video is inspired by Alice in Wonderland. The dance in corus and the visual. The sound in the chorus seems to be inspired by old video games. Aurora released a mini game shortly before, which also included exactly this sound. In general, there are many special details in the video that have meaning. The black and white floor on which she dances or the glued 7 and 9 angular stars in her face and on the floor. 7-star: 7 is a divine number and stands for the 7 chakras, 7 days or 7 sacraments etc. It also symbolizes perfection and connects spirit and matter in the universe. The seven star, also known as the heptagram, contains ancient knowledge and is considered a powerful protective symbol of the natural religions. People with the number 7 have a seventh sense and are farsighted and open to everything new. Or Aurora watched too much Game of Thrones. What she actually does. Then another explanation would be possible. 😁 9-star: The 9 gives us access to our inner and higher wisdom. The number nine symbolizes the power of creation, bliss and knowledge. In Buddhism, the nine is the highest spiritual power and the associated symbol is the nine star (enneagram), which is composed of a circle and triangles. People with the number 9 are warm, intelligent, wise counselors, and good listeners. A nine-pointed star also stands for perfection All features apply to Aurora
