Earth experienced a rare G5 geomagnetic storm today, the strongest since the Halloween solar storms in 2003. Multiple CMEs originated from AR 3664 in increasing intensity. It is uncertain which CMEs has combined to produce the shockfront, but for certain it will last for a while yet.
