I'll do a video on that, maybe best to study a video of someone driving, maybe 2 cameras.. I've got some ideas. Haha. Yeah route knowlege is key to any sort of efficient running, for example on heavy loads we wit up on hills to expedite acceleration so as to make it up the next hill as best we can without even the possibility of stalling. Powering comes alot through how you feel the train, monitoring the gauges and terrain to choose the best power setting for any given grade or desired speed, using the terrain in lower notches to wash off speed to know the next down hill will require braking regardless so giving yourself a safety net to keep the train under control is vital or you risk a run away (out of drivers control) the ability to annalise track side risks, think the last signal when the next isn't for 2-4kms away, and alot can happen in 4kms on the rails, so you have to ve very vigilant at all times, 2 man crews is partly the saviour of the freight rail industry, it's extremely effective, efficient, safe and reliable, as whole. But there's truly alot to know if you want to be good at this job, the hacks generally don't last too long when trains get snapped in half, or holes are burned into the rails from uncontrolled spinning wheels.

@@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER watched the one that you posted a week ago, fantastic. Just a bit of an observation regarding production. With captions, try to stick with bright single colours like white or yellow and avoid fancy or cartoon fonts. Your caption info is really interesting, so it needs to be easy to read. Also a bit more vision of the controls when you are operating, explanation captions would be amazing for the train geeks. Love your channel and love your work. I hope that my suggestions are not taken the wrong way.

Goodday Adam, What a great video, I was hoping to see Sunshine Station missed out. I was watching this combo else where & I noticed 50 wagons, is that going to be the norm going into the new harvest up from 40 to 50 ? Secondly were all the loco's working or were some dead ? Great view demands respect. Cheers Louis Kats 👍
@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER
@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER Год назад
It seems these videos are always a hit, so might have to get more around melbs. Yes 50 wagons now. Possibly another 18 wagons for BG too soon. All locos were working behind us the whole way, but only CLF 4 had dyno.

@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER

They would have been much better with that control set up! I feel you loose some of the feel through desktop controls. But at least it's a GE style throttle so the notches are quite ... Notchy?.. Haha.
