Phenomenal title track from what's prob my fav album from them. The album itself is short, sweet and packs a hell of a bunch. The first five tracks are, for my money, the single best stretch of songs on any Spoon album.
Excellent! Comment - not a criticism. You can hear the effect of "cupping the mic" very clearly here at 1:40. The "megaphone" effect. Works killer for this band, in my opinion. Sound guys might not like it but hey
Seven years later, signed sealed and delivered. Can’t think of a band with more Beetles-esque variety, tune hooks, and skillful application of what’s out there musically. (but those were different times, no one has such across-the-board fame these days, and that’s more sensible imo)
