Mad respect for this dude... He's a BEAST! I know Melvin is the main workhorse, but Ekeler changes up the rhythm and makes the offense so much more explosive! A huge, and necessary key to our offense. Hope we keep him around for many years, I'm rooting for the dude... 👍
I’m with ya! Born in Grand Junction, lived my adult life in San Diego. It’s mind blowing that this kid made it. Great story! Hard to explain to people just how remote (and cold!) Gunnison, CO is!
His college is literally 3 hours away from where I live here in Grand Junction Colorado 81506. Colorado is absolutely beautiful and absolutely an amazing place to live. Seen this kid literally come out of Western State. He's an absolute beast and I wish I could meet up with him and get his autograph because this guy is absolutely down to earth and level headed. Had that hard work mentality and did complete work last year. Yeah he fumbled and gave up a couple mistakes but I see that as I good thing. He's going to grow and learn from those mistakes and make himself that much better. Bolt up baby⚡⚡⚡⚡AE30
@@ZHP330 Not Gunnison’s only claim to fame, I believe Willie Nelson’s grow is located just east of town! Haha (Also good taste in cars sir! I drive a 335i myself 😉)
This video aged beautifully . Always thought he should have more snaps and after this week 1 game against the colts, everyone can see what this kid can do ⚡️✨
I could only afford one of the new Nike Vapor Limited 2020 jerseys and it had to be Ekeler⚡Love his story! He's also a great Twitch streamer. Chats directly with his fans. The guy is a solid role model and genuine person, and a kick ass football player! Keep going Ek! Bolt Up!!! - from J1000r.
Can't wait for him to explode on the scene again! I remember talking to him at one of the training camp practices and wishing him good luck on making the team! He was one of the few players that played the game like he was still in high school like he actually talked to us as if he knew us! He will always be one of my favorites!
Wow for some reason this dude and his story was sincere. Being a black girl and seeing that his mother is white I usually don't get myself involved. But I admired this guys story and have a respect for his mother. I hope they're happy and doing well.
I played against Austin in 2014 at that stadium and by god that stadium is the highest elevated stadium to play in and it hurt my lungs to play there lol
Keep it up austin even with the struggle keep it up pass it on and you'll be the next LT you have hall of fame quality and a team and fans who will help you along the way
respect this man a lot. Chargers sure know how to pick the right Running backs. From LT & Sproles, Michael Turner the Burner....to today with Gordon & Ekeler. good stuff
Championship is not statistics and Austin is One that will surprise you the NFL. BELIEVE JUST BELIEVE I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE GOAT GRATEFUL TO BE ALIVE MAHA C. GLORY TO GOD FOREVER MORE
I’m a bigger fan of this guy each and every day. No one really mentions this, but doesn’t he remind you of Walter Payton? Performance, ability, grind on the field, work ethic? I think Walter would be proud of him. Can’t wait to watch him this season.
Me. I kept trying to trade him... nobody wanted him. Even I didn't want him. Then I realized what they didn't: this guy is truly great this season, he is the Chargers' offensive MVP and he is a set it & forget it RB.
We definitely upgraded so far at the Offensive Line with Turner,Maluga and Defensive Line Joseph and DB Harris through Free Agency and trades... The next should be OT ? QB Herbert,Tua, LB Simmons possibly and a Power RB to go with Ekeler and Justin Jackson and a speedy WR to go with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams and more depth at OL for security blanket and depth at LB ..Let’s Go Los Angeles Chargers ⚡️🏈
If he keeps his playing like a beast he’s gonna earn a number 1 contract and leave us like Michael Turner!! Can’t blame him if he does he’s a great player
Are you high it was the offense in general, both he and Gordon couldn’t get the first down. That wasn’t an Ekeler thing. Not to mention he scored our only two touchdowns. The jags d-line was made of 4 pro bowlers
