This is another original song by Home Free from 2014. It is one of their older videos that is not reacted to much. Great song with a cute storyline. Home Free have the best harmonies around.

This one is overlooked and yet it's a great showcase for Austin's ability to just let it loose and release that glorious voice. Love it. The band has been talking for several years about the future, and it's been clear since lockdown that Austin found it hard to keep leaving home and his wife. Before joining HF, Austin worked on cruise ships, so until he bought his house in 2019 had not had a real home for about 15 years. Actually I wonder how the other guys go on touring year after year and it's what often breaks bands up. These days with streaming it's impossible for most artists to survive without touring, but it takes its toll. Austin wants to be a regular person, have time to spare and although it's been spun as being about home and family, he must like the prospect of being free to explore, keep writing and do collaborations with his many friends. Most of Austin's recent solo stuff has no MV but you might check out the earlier MVs like Rest of my Life as well as his massive writing contribution to So Long Dixie, with songs like Stargazer Trilogy.

For me it felt like a gut punch. I will remain very sad and very disappointed for quite a long time. Home Free will never be the same. Austin cannot be replaced. Yes, they can put another tenor in there but the sound will not be even close. I made the comment when he released his first solo project that it was an indication that he was going to leave the group. The responses I got were basically, oh no….Austin said that he would never leave Home Free. Yeah, who was right? Anyway, it is what it is.

We will miss Austin but what a dream come true for whoever replaces him. How exciting! Just as we still see Chris Rupp, we will continue to see Austin. He will never quit singing! Let’s be happy for Austin and celebrate his moving into a new stage of life. He will always have our support. I must say, he won’t be replaced. He is uniquely Austin and can’t be replaced. But I know he will want us to accept and grow to love whoever Home Free chooses to sing with them. Great reaction and I appreciate your respect for the group and for Austin. ❤️

I’m gutted about Austin leaving. I have tickets to see them in April but Austin will tour with them until late this year. It will be strange but hoping the replacement will be incredible. This is a really cute video and song. Love it!!! Good one lads.

I will pout for a while but I have no doubt Austin and the guys will pick the perfect addition to the band just like they did when Chris left. Chance is great. I want nothing but happiness for Austin and Home Free and I am for anything that helps Austin keep that sparkle in his eyes. I will definitely continue to support them all. They are like family to me.

What a perfect song to accompany the announcement. I'm sorry he's leaving but I'm happy for Austin & Amberly. If you haven't listened to his latest original "I'll Go First" or "Everlasting Ground", they're both tremendous (but have tissues handy for the former). I wish all their hopes & dreams come true. We Home Fries are sad Austin is leaving the group at the end of this tour season, but we thoroughly support his decision. It is not like we will never see him again. Many of us follow his solo channel as well. We are curious about who will eventually fill the empty slot as well. You know Home Free will make a great decision for the new member. Personally, I am a bit excited for the future, too. I feel like a proud Auntie, watching a favorite nephew start a new chapter in his life.

Great reaction! You always seem to "get" the songs they write. RE: AUSTIN: Nothing stops us from enjoying Austin's solo stuff and Home Free's stuff at the same time. We need to trust the Home Free guys, including Austin. They won't leave anyone hanging. They will find someone equally amazing!! I betcha they will :)

Quite an appropriate song for today, in many ways. This is a Home Free original from their first album - Crazy Life - and will be on their next one which will be the last on with Austin on it. I believe that that is one of the bridges they filmed on for Seven Bridges Road, but that is hearsay, I haven't checked that video to be certain.

I was sadly shocked for a minute or so, but thought about how much music and social content he and Amberly had been posting since the pandemic, plus they did say they want to start a family and Austin wants to be home, mostly. He said it’s not the end of his relationship with Home Free. They have a strong bond and will be collaborating at times. This video (way back in its time) wasn’t my favorite. The concept was great, but the details with them stuck together “all” of the time kind of bugged me a little. Lol I do love the song, and the part of the video with the guys singing in public, and the end when they physically separated, and he followed her to Italy was so sweet! I am excited to to see what the future holds for Home Free and Austin/Amberly! Very curious who Home Free will find to take over for Austin.

I'm advocating where I can for Home Free to try to convince PETER HOLLINS to replace Austin...he's an excellent tenor, has a good personality and is proven to work well with TIM and the boys.

I saw Austin speaking but I heard his wife's words, that was the most woke word salad statement I have heard in a long time, all he needed to say was he wanted to focus on his family instead of all the virtue signaling, I will miss his voice but Home free can harmonize with anyone they are awesome.
