Asif Mujtaba was the real match winner batsmen.. Qasim Umer was the real talent..Played beautiful cover drives.. both Players scored on the difficult Aus pitches.. they should be played 92 world cup in Australia.. over very third class players like Ramiz Raja n Zahid Fazal.

One thing to be always remembered against England in the group match; Rameez Raja was caught on a No Ball and he started to walk as he was unaware of the No Ball and started to walk back and The England team run him out.
I remember listening to it on a radio commentary during my school days because this series was not televised live. pak commentator iftikhar was doing commentary on the radio and still remember how exited he used to get with the loud noise on each 4 or a run.
Asif Mujtaba was a great cricketer from Sindh. He never let his country down in any such matches. I wonder where is he now. I hope he doesn't look like Saqqi, Mushi or Inzi now (anni paayi hoyi ae).
The commentators of those days with likes of Bill Lawry, Richie Benaud, Ian Chappell, Tony Greig, Tony Cozier- wow what a team? It was great commentary those days. And then India had it's very good commentators like Harsha Bhogle, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri.
@@Waseemashraf1979 dear ...then why was he dropped again and again and wasim kept on playing regularly as he became imrans favourite ...his rise happened only after imran ..put his hand on him ...see matches of 1986 and 87 ...when jaffar was almost as good as wasim ...but he never received tips from imran ..neither support ...he faded first when aquib arrived and fully when waqaar arrived ...his last match was early 1992 ..when waqaar was injured at the time of the 92 world cup ...imran se jyada toh javed respected him ...dont speak without proofs ....did you even watch matches live in 1985 -86 live ...i did ....ha
Asif mujatba and qasim really talented players. Why these type of players who can win match is lacking in pakistan squad. There was urge to win that time. Now pakistan has lost it. Almost all nations makes an easy walk over pakistan. Although i am indian i had a great respect for old pakistan team. They played genuine cricket. What a come back by pakistan against australia that too in austalia.
Qasim was such a great talent, fantastically popular player all over the world (especially in New Zealand where he was cheered every time he touched the ball). Sadly he was yet another victim of Pakistani politics.
Dear he was a brilliant player but he involved in politics himself he was dropped from Pak team then he claimed that Pak cricket team is involved in Heroin smuggling and at the London heathrow airport Pak cricket baggage was checked and the reason they told that one of your player has given statement that Pak cricket team is involved in Smuggling and that player name was Qasim Umar but he was a brilliant player now a days i listen his Darsul Quran On you tube
