The first jolly ranger chews must have been old. They arent supposed to be really soft. The ones you were eating almost seems to be melted. They are supposed to hold their rectangular form until you start chewing them. BTW, this version isnt the original. The original jolly ranchers are hard candies and we love them here in the US. The chews are pretty good to so Im surprised that you didnt like them. I guess its that Australian palate of yours! lol

this is my first time watching you guys and i really liked the video! Real sour skittles DO have that powdery sugar coating you had imagined they would, i think the skittles ypu had were like a sweet and sour mix. The US has so many different types of skittles... sour, tropical, wild berry, orchard, desserts, darkside, smoothie, we even had a darn AMERICA MIX!! lol id like to try tp Aussie and EU candy. Im a big time candy junkie and love trying different sweets especially from around the world!

The skittles u had were different from the original sour ones the original ones are in a green package and they have sour/sweet coating on them.
