not kidding btw, I watched your videos before I joined the Bundeswehr :D and the Bundeswehr has a series going which should serve as advertisment but it makes the army look sooo weak and pathetic, it shows how young girl recruits do their basic training and it's all fun and shit and cringy indian style edition, it's sad. Years ago in NATO Stabilization Force Peace Keeping in Croatia I worked with Austrian Soldiers and Police. They are mostly very professional and skilled at their profession.

Every country needs an army even Austria and every armed force makes advertisment for new workers/soldiers. If you have a look at a classic company advertisment you would understand. Austria needs an army for protection, defense and catastrophic disasters. Enemies are everywhere, but they changed their tactics. Today there is no war against a country. There’re cyberwarfare, information warfare, asymmetric warfare, Insurgency, etc. Just because you can't see the enemy doesn't mean he doesn't exist.

Trust me bro the Austrian army still saves Austrian lifes! They saved my grandparents as they were hit by a snowstorm and they also fixed damaged houses that were destroyed by nature. They also patrol the streets and keep us and our borders safe. Trust me there are a lot of ppl trying to come into Austria illegally the reason they are not able to is because of our army. Just because we are not at war doesn't mean we don't have enemies!

Art. 9 a Abs. 1 Bundes-Verfassungsgesetz Österreich bekennt sich zur umfassenden Landesverteidigung. Ihre Aufgabe ist es, die Unabhängigkeit nach außen sowie die Unverletzlichkeit und Einheit des Bundesgebietes zu bewahren, insbesondere zur Aufrechterhaltung und Verteidigung der immerwährenden Neutralität. Hierbei sind auch die verfassungsmäßigen Einrichtungen und ihre Handlungsfähigkeit sowie die demokratischen Freiheiten der Einwohner vor gewaltsamen Angriffen von außen zu schützen und zu verteidigen. Deswegen Und geschadet hat es ja auch keinem die 6 Monate.

Ich sehe das persönlich eher als eine Art moderner Sklavenarbeit. "Und geschadet hat es ja auch keinem die 6 Monate." Tja ich hätte im September schon Studieren gehen können und muss jetzt, wegen einem komplett veraltetem Gesetz, 6 Monate meines Lebens nix tun.

Ohne dem Wehrdienst wären kaum genügend Pioniere da die bei zahlreichen Umweltschäden wie Hochwasser, Lawinen, Murenabgängen usw Hilfe leisten könnten. Ich hab damals zwar für ein Berufsheer gestimmt aber naja
