Italy still switched sides Buenito sorry to say it but it is true for both times even though the north italian state was a puppet of germany Mi dispiace, come ho detto
I hope you can understand what I have written😉
The second time Italy has not really changed part, ok first we fought with Germany and after Badoglio signed the armistice, but it must also be considered that it was under dictatorship. Fascism presented itself as a liberator, to give Italy what was not given to it with Versailles. With time we have seen what it really was. Regarding the WWI we can also call it a "betrayal" but if you have to consider that most of the population was against the intervention, but the newspapers (controlled by powerful, who were interventionists) gave the impression that there was a clear majority of interventionists. Excuse me for all the mistakes
@@MrPresidente98 Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Ukraine were countries that were not all in the empire, only parts of those, i mentioned only countries that were 90 or more percent in the Monarchy. Just to explain why I didn't mention Poland Żegnaj🇵🇱
Actually Poles was the 4th Biggest Nationality in the Monarchy. 1 on 10 people living in Austra-Hungary was a Pole. And for example Croats was only 1 on 20 or Hungarians has 2 on 10 people.
Idk why but this song really hits me in the feels, maybe it’s my ancestry or something but this song gives me a strange feeling that really intensifies around the middle when the men pause and start singing again, it’s almost like sadness and dread, but also almost like a good feeling as well, I can’t really describe it, kinda feels like nostalgia too for some reason. Very strange
Im Hungarian German and Irish I understand how you feel, my great opa was born in Budapest in 1901 he was 17 when all he knew collapsed, then in 1941 he was sent to germany to be conscripted to the wehrmacht.
CRAZY CANUCK wow that must have been a completely different experience to anything today. To live through the fall empire you call home, and then drafted to fight in another. My great grandfather was born on a Native American reservation Wyoming US he decided to leave when he heard about what the third Reich was doing and of Peal harbor (he joined the Army because he wanted to fight the Nazis in Europe as he believed they were a bigger threat to democracy than the Japanese), as he said “America may be an evil, but I’d rather live in a world with the lesser evil, not the greater, the axis (it was something like that)”. he enlisted into the US Army in 1941 into the Famous *Big red one* and fought at D-day into France through Belgium and into Germany. He was a Crow Warrior through and through.
@@brotherhoodofsteeld.c.chap1917 yeah, it was certainly a life changing moment, him and his squad were pinned down he got injured and they sent him out a week later, (they were doing bad obviously) and later on he was taken as a p.o.w and moved to Canada
@@brotherhoodofsteeld.c.chap1917 and i guess the only reason he wasn't killed was because he was hungarian and spoke german, (most of the old enpire could) it was not a good time, but i guess no time is anymore right? Anyways stay safe Genosse
Edit#2: Here are the Lyrics in English: I am a Carinthian guard, the enemy of the whites, The cutting on my cap, at the Kopp the noble white, When our mouths sing, no defeat is done, In a storm with naked blades, we go to the enemy. Krumpefeder on the cap, the noble white thereby, Embers and blood for the fatherland, the Carinthian is so faithful to him, But at home in the chamber, the dirndle secretly weeping, My dear God protect me, my boy and my home country! Edit: Four posts in a day is godlike. Thanks or making our day so much better
It feels like I heard these marches in a European chocolate factory... even though I have no memory of all of that and these are the first times I heard these sick beats
Lovw this channel and especially videos like this. They may not be in English but they do sound absolutely amazing. But i do know some works dilue to them being memorable and easyier to pronounce like yes no or he or she.
What a great march! Oh, would I like to see the old empires again. The German Empire, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the British Empire, the Russian Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the Dutch Empire, all ensured some sort of stability across the globe. All I see now are terrorist hangings, suicidal kids, brutal civil wars, t-shirts saying " is shit", and the list goes on. People used to be so proud. Now we just slumber in our rooms saying how terrible history was(thats why I wont mention the negative things now). God have mercy.
I believe the modern renditions of both this song and most German Military songs were sung by the same band, I believe they were called "Die Alten Kamerade"
*WAVES DOUBLE EAGLE FLAG* *PLAYS THIS ON LOUDSPEAKERS* *STARES AT EYES OF SERBIAN PEOPLE* *SHOUTS: GOTT ERHALTE FRANZ DEN KAISER* Gentlemen, Belgrade is ours!
@Vilém Plaček Tschechen in Österreich,. nein danke warum müssen die immer noch von der EU gefüttert werden, sie haben ja eh soviel von den Deutschen und Österreichern 1946 geklaut die Kroaten wollten auch weg von den Tschechen
@@busodelor1977 exactly. They expelled all the Germans/Austrians from the Sudetenland. The Germans/Austrians made Bohemia rich and they were one of the first to break apart the Austro-Hungarian empire and then right away immediately they invade German-Austria and annexed the Sudetenland. This would lead to a certain Austrian/German painter to get revenge on Czechia.
I think slovenia in austro hungarian empire backthen it was not called slovenia but it was divided on south styria some parts of carinthia carniola gained the most if we weren’t in this empire i think we would be doing a lot worse today
just going to clear up misconceptions Austria - Hungary wasn't oppressing any people in fact it was slowly giving rights The only reason for the collapse, is Hungary not wanting to give up land to federate it to make it last longer It wasn't war that made it collapse it was people not wanting it to exist since Russia wasn't a threat anymore no it didn't collapse due to many ethnicities Edit from 2023: Shouldve prolly listed some basic or better sources and put more detail into this, But looking back at other comments i used to make this still holds up well (my other comments and arguements suck whereas this doesent)
Correct. the Hungarians were out ot Magyarize everyone without much success except some urban middle-class Slovaks, Ukranians and the Jews who went over almost 100%. The fundamental law of Austria in 1867 declared every individual and ethnic group equal whereas in Hungary it was only equal religious and civil rights.
@@romanempireconscript7691 my comment is oversimplified and made up of many sources however you can easily find videos or anyone backing me up if it was more in detail i likely would've included them
@@tiktokmemecompilation6749 Caporetto was for Germans help lol. At Vittorio Veneto you had way more soldiers than us but we still managed to kick your @ss.
