Good video well explained step by step However you should warn everyone that risk of doing a cas3 + through obd, the vehicle you done was not flashed to ISTA-p if anyone tried to downgrade a cas module from ista-p to regular flash there is 70% chances that you brick the cas module

Awesome as usual Daniel, another well explained great video. There is a lot of confusion about cas4 and fem/bdm systems, a lot of videos don’t explain that the module must have already been removed previously and had keys added to the vehicle in order to add more by OBD. For you experienced Locksmith, I’ve heard that it’s better to always do BMW on bench instead of OBD regardless to reduce risk to damaged ECU. Is that true?

As always another concise and informative video, Autel im608 is an awesome programmer, hoping the X-horse KTP catches up eventually, mine is starting to gather dust. I tried on a 2014 5 series today Cas4 315 frequency .. it wrote the fob to slot 10 but would only crank the car when held up to the antenna coil ( no start) and no working buttons .. was using a fob from International Key Supply … message came up on cars information center that it was incorrect key .. called Autel tech support .. he tried remotely with my IM608 and came to the conclusion that we would need the ISN # and the only way to get it is to remove the CAS module and program using the G Box .. problem was the module can only come out if intake manifold was removed to get at it as per the tech rep .. I was not doing that .. my thinking is maybe the car didn’t like the International Key aftermarket fob … would like your opinion … which version fob did you use in this video ?

You NEVER put a jumper on the battery directly!!!! Put it in the connectors under hood unless you want problems.

Mike what is the jumper that you mention that needs to be connected to the battery, so It doesn’t go down? Does it come with the im608 pro bundle? Or is it a separate charger to keep battery voltage up? Can you be more clear on this point? Love your videos thx for making and sharing.

New to key programming; Is there a list that tells you what keys are interchangeable and what keys fit what year range and model?

When you have to deal with a CAS4 in an AKL situation, you still do it through OBD or bench work? If you tried through OBD how did it work?

My question is can you show us what you mean by jump cables? like if it dies you quickly jump it and finish the process? or does your jump cable stop it from dying period? If it stops it from dying period... can you show the process and gear you used for that? thanks
