Quick video on a potentially serious issue I cam across today with the Autel Sky app interfereing with the DJI Fly app by trying to take control of the DJI RC
Thanks for sharing all this info. Sorry to hear about all your troubles with the Autel drone and app. I almost bought one but I think I will wait now and see what happens. I wish more reviewers would be as honest as you.
I downloaded the Sky app a few weeks ago, and ran into the same issue. I didn't even have the Nano+, just wanted to checkout the app. The next day or same day went to fly my Air2S, and the Autel Sky app launched and wanted to manage my DJI drone. I ended up uninstalling the Sky app to resolve the issue. (Samsung S9+ / Android 10)
The Autel app (like DJI) is constantly auditing USB connections to be promoted when the controller is plugged in. Let me be clear, the Autel app is not running in the foreground when this happens. It is mistaking the DJI controller as its own and prompting to take control of it to launch the app. Disabling or uninstalling the app is a temporary fix to a programming issue with Autel Sky
What do you mean by proceed flight with DJI fly app? App is brand specific. Sounds like its not linked with correct drone profile. You have to sign in & link your profile with DJI app & vica versa
I don't think you are understanding the issue, the fly app is seizing control of the dji controller when it's plugged in. Even if the autel app is closed
Your previous video placed blamed on Autel and the Nano, and now you have an issue with the Sky app. Maybe the issue is your phone. I know on my Samsung S21 Ultra, the Autel Sky app will not exit, I have to force stop the app to close it. It also fails to sync all the flight logs. Speaking of apps, Litchi also ceased to function when my phone updated to Android 12 over a month ago, and still no fix.
Its not the phone, the control of the drone is direct to the controller. If you were to disconnect the phone mid flight it should still land. The Autel Sky app has problems
@CANTech Videos the app has issue with my android phone too. The app also has direct control. In fact it has more control, so much so that I've lost faith in several flight apps on Android now since the new OS update.
