My easy Indian style chicken balti recipe is the perfect restaurant style curry for rice. It’s a lovely authentic dish made even better as it’s lower in fat because low fat crème fraîche is used instead of cream. This balti recipe is made with chicken, but you can also use prawns or vegetables in this curry too.

Ingredients for my easy chicken balti recipe:
- 1 Large white onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- Olive oil
- 500g Chicken breast
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Fenugreek
- 200ml Low fat crème fraiche
- 200g Cherry tomatoes
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 Star anise
- 1 Chicken stock cube
- 1 tbsp Curry powder
- 1 Handful fresh coriander
- 1 Handful fresh mint
- 200g Basmati rice
