Hi Meera, sorry about the delay in replying to you. We haven't used water in this recipe as the prawns cook in its own liquid, but if your onions and tomatoes are getting stuck to the pan while cooking, you can add 1 or 2 tbsp of water 🙂

Dear Leena, at the beginning of Step 3 before we started the process in the frying pan we have clearly mentioned these words "On medium heat in an open thick bottom pan add 3 tbsp of cooking oil". I guess you missed it. We always make it a point to provide detailed recipes so people can understand and execute them properly 🙂

Generally in Goa we do not make Chicken Sorpotel. Sorpotel is made with Pork or sometimes with Beef. But you can make Chicken Vindalo & the taste will be similar to Sorpotel.
