This new CIP (cleaning in place) device is perfect for cleaning our your fermenter, brewery, or other home brew hardware. It's chemically resistant so it's able to be used with caustic, acid, oxidizing agents and a wide range of other chemical cleaners and sanitisers.
The main benefit of this device is that it's ideally suited to breweries systems that have small pumps. Typically other CIP devices require much larger pressures and volume of liquid to drive the CIP device. This one on the other hand works very well with even a low powered 6 watt pump.
The secret to this CIP device working so efficiently is that it directly 100% of the energy of the jet into a single direction at a time. As the head moves it randomly targets different areas of the vessel gradually working its way around the tank and covering all sided.
The jets also work in overhangs such as lids that are typically hard to do well with small systems that have smaller pumps.

I think a threaded port in stainless steel Integrated/welded in the lid under the lid would be a great innovation where different pieces could be screwed on for the different purposes like cip, recirculation and sparge.

@PetraKann

Reaching all the contact surface areas is the minimum requirement for a CIP spray device. The other being the pressure and volumetric flow rate. Depending on the application, gentle sprays can be ineffective against certain scaling or biofilms. Of course the temperature of the CIP cleaning or sanitising fluid is another critical factor. Bacteria have clever techniques that have evolved over hundreds of millions of years (actually billions of years) that enable them to survive changes in their environmental conditions. Forming Biofilms is one, transforming into spores is another. I like the cost effectiveness of this device and its suitability
@KegLand

great device -can u show a video of it hooked up to fermzilla all rounder for cleaning ?
@KegLand
@KegLand Год назад
I agree. Just after I finished the video I should have done that. the FermZilla just needs to be a bit higher so the liquid then gravity feeds back to the brewzilla. If you do this make sure you do not set the water temp above 50C or you can melt the tank. Other than that it works really well.

Did I miss a section about fermenters? I suppose this will only work with the fermzilla, not the allrounders ? They are a very nice product, but I do not think they're easy to clean because you're always afraid to scratch.

It would work on the all rounder but you would be gradually filling the all rounder up as you spray the solution into the all rounder. With the FermZilla conical you can gravity feed from the dump valve back to the brewzilla boiler and thus be continuously be recirculating.

Why don't the spring clamps come with the kit when they are essential? No need to buy more steel now... It's gonna sit where it's supposed to with the recirc arm and tube cut to length
@KegLand
@KegLand Год назад
Yes that is a fair point. We will see if we can make that included as of the kit. The various different breweries have different heights of arm required and also depending on if you are using the standard lid or distillation lid the silicone should be cut to a different length. so it's best that the customer cuts the silicone tube themselves.
