Hi, awesome model. In the tamya standard kit there are not pipes and instructions to create the wiring between components ( excluding the engine). Where do you have found these parts and instructions? Thanks
Thank you ! I am just starting to build cars recently and actually not as good as the other masters. But I really enjoy detailing the cars especially with F1 and Group C cars because they have such a intricate layout of wires and pipes that you could add to the model, and that is a instant upgrade to a plastic model into something awesome looking. My information on the Tyrrell wirings was based on a Japanese magazine called GP Racing. I picked one up in 2019 in Japan while I was traveling and it features the Tyrrell. I then started to purchase more of their issues from eBay and they are priced ok but some are more expensive. But once you see their pictures you will think it is worth the money.
Thanks for your response. I have some other doubts…. Do you use primer for all the model parts or only for the body? Witch primer do you use to obtain this awesome smooth surface? Do you use tamya color as suggested from the manual or other color brand? To finish the model do you use gloss varnish and then polishing hard? Thanks
yes I used white primer from Mr Hobby for only the body/ cowls. Actually the primer and the paint were not that crucial to obtain the smoothness. The trick was I sanded each layer of primer and paint after dried. The paint does not has to be glossy, it was the layer of varnish (I used Zero paint 2 pack Clearcoat) and sanding/polishing that brought out the glossy surface and the smoothness. If you watch my Ford GT40 videos, I did explained a bit about the painting and polishing procedure : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zyi-tBUba8k.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jpNAFI15S5Q.html
