Battery terminals always are using 10mm nuts in any metric country. So a 10mm wrench (sleutel in Dutch hence the key translation) was the way to go. I'd almost say each fireman could wear one on their belt for all car related troubles that needs batteries disconnected.

Before every speedbump the codriver shouts “ drempel” so they can hold on tight 👍

4:15 All emergency vihicles have 2 differend volumes 1 (low volume) for inside city's village's second (loud volume) for outside so the are not to loud at night were people live and sleep and loud so they can be easely heard with higher speeds like the highway

I dont know what kind of vehicle you are reffering to but ours do not have this, only a speedup for crossings (6~ different vehicles, no alternating sirens available). Low volume is not an option. Alternating lights are almost standard on each vehicle..

About your question over the sirenes beeing loud for the neighbors: At the moment, I live in rural Germany. Our community includes 44 villages with 7 volunteer fire stations. My family (6+ members, depending who is at home) and I do live about 50m from one of the stations. I'm the only one, who wakes up in the middle of the night over these sirenes 🤷‍♀️. Meanwhile, I can even tell which of the stations is called to duty on how well I hear them. Most of the time, I even can tell how big of a mess is reported to "my station", by how many individual car sirenes pass after a max of 7 minutes. When I ask any other family members, they always, always say that they didn't hear anything ... 😳

The driver may have been drinking and fled leaving his co-driver behind?

I wonder if they eventually found a second passenger. Sounds logic not only because of the second impact in the window but also because people are affraid if there are consequences for them after the accident like fine(s) or something.

Not sure if it was mentioned yet (late to the party); this was - according to the pager - 19-something; sometime between 7 and 8 in the evening. Not really 'middle of the night', but probably sometime November-January

I live next to a firestation and police presinct, but i have a 6 years old new building so the isolation is extremely well done, i just hear the sirens on the background no problem. Also i'm amazed with the heatscan device, because i work in civil engineering and i would definitely have checkout those bushes but atleast with a second person because soil here can be treacherous. If it has rained a lot and you're in the west or the far north the soil can be so soft that you can sink in it especially if it has been a while. Should atleast bring a wooden stick or pole to stick the soil when looking around. But this is Lunteren in the east so they're probably fine.
