I saw them in action twice (reason to buy a house in another neighborhood) and they were swift and fast. No shots fired, they came, got in, took the suspect and went out within minutes, turning the suspect over to the normal police. It gives a creepy feeling when you are on your balcony looking down the street and heavy armed (wo)men in black crawl along the embankment of the water... signing I should go inside. So I did, and carefully looked through the bedroom window to see the situation on the other side, they were already on the roofs of the sheds. I went to the safest part of the apartment an we heard some bangs and shouting, after two minutes everything was silent. When I dared to look again the suspect was placed in the back of a police car and the (wo)men in black were gone into thin air.

Nice to see that dogs (Malinois, Dutch Shepherd) are well integrated into this team, I myself have a Dutch Shepherd who is fully trained as a police / army dog, fully qualified.

14:34 it is because the US has a mentality of punishing. That mentality has trickled down to law enforces. So Police in the US feel the need to start the punishment of they suspects during the arrest. But punishing is the job of the judge after a fair trial not of the law enforcer. So yeah at the end of the day. The person you are arresting might be a bad human, he is still human. So treat him like a human. Dont lower yourself to the actions of a bad human because you feel the need to punish the bad human.

Cops and military here are drilled hard on public service and to keep in mind that they are there to protect and preserve ALL human life. No matter how big of an asshole, that assshole is still a human life so it must be protected until there is no other option available. Now there are always bad apples but on average that does make me a lot calmer approaching one of our own cops than if I were to run into a foreign officer of which I just simply don't know if they have that same training in trigger discipline and serving the citizen above all else.

criminals and terrorists are still humans, the dutch often dont forget that thats why in most wars we mediate between groups instead of presuring them.

These guys stay human, they are not bullys that want to correct them they get treated according to human standards afterwards they are seen by dokters and a psychiatrist ! The Dutch help each other.

It doesnt matter 'what role' you play in life. You could be the cop or the robber. Doenst matter what you choose, its no reason to lose your humanity and treat someone with dignity. He did his job, he arrested him. Its for justice to get him convicted. Why not treat someone as a human. Their world is about to go to shit (potentialy)

All those guy's are ex special-forces a normal cop has no chance to enter those teams. bit misleading 1 level lower are the AT teams from the regular police force they arrest the lower risk persons or form a quick reaction units also with dogs and MP5
