Great simple video on base clear! I love my Devilbiss Pro Lite very versatile gun. I’ve been spraying my clear with the 1.2 and T110 it’s super flat maybe to flat ! It a cloud maker for sure I have a semi permanent homemade both with a very large amount of air movement and it takes a minute or two to clear the both. If I was to ever build another both it would have a wood floor on top of concrete with cracks between the boards and draw air from the bottom through the cracks with intake filters on all four sides.

Superb video and a great finish from the GTI ProLite, as always I love all the detail you include in your videos Chris I think you do this more than any other channel I follow👌 I have the older GTI Pro and the GTI ProLite and even though they are an older design they still keep up with all the modern guns out there, my go to aircap for clearcoat is the T110 but I don't think it's available where you are which is a shame as it atomises the clear a bit better than the TE10🙏👍John UK

Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Concerning the black primer on aftermarket panels. I’m finding it sometimes doesn’t adhere well as if the steel wasn’t prepped well so I’m removing it, sanding the steel, then using a acid etch primer. Maybe the Alaska cold is a contributing factor. I’ve looked through your older primer videos… Can you do a quick video on the when and why “acid etch” vs. “epoxy” (or other) base primer might be more appropriate for full paint jobs and/or panel repairs?

Hi love your teaching video's, can you go in depth sometime on why basecoat paint can be made lighter or darker because of setting and why and how to fix the adjustments and which ones please. I don't understand this.

@@GarageNoise Just a follow up…the paint turned out really good but had some orange peel (still wayyy better than previous attempts). I think it’s because I don’t have good ventilation in the garage and working in UK can be challenging with the weather changing quite quickly. The thing that made the result better than previous jobs is not waiting too long after the first coat before applying the second coat. As soon as it was dry, but kinda tacky and not stringy, I applied the second coat. Really neat trick and I love that you shared it! Thank you

If you like the TE10 cap you'll likely love the TE20 cap substantially more, its a lot faster of a cap and the gold standard for OEM replication The TE10 is kind of an in-between between the TE20 oem style cap and the T110 flat custom finish style cap

Appreciate all the videos, but I didn't catch what you do about basecoat blushing? Does it just need a little time to dry or off gas so to speak? Is it now set in the base color and you simply add another coat to cover it? Thanks Chris 👍

In warm humid weather, apply the first coat lite to medium. If it does blush let it dry 20-25 minutes and you should be good for a medium second coat.

Here’s some advice!!!!!! The money from that job there , go buy a blowup paint booth I heard they work pretty for jobs like that + keeps the shop cleaner. Nothing like walking through the shop smelling clear. 😂😂😂😂😂

I don't have one, be careful there's a lot of clones for this gun. I would look at a reputable seller. Beware of buying on amazon or ebay.

What’s a good mid level clear to use I’ve been spraying the FC 720 it’s like impossible to cut trash out of seems just to soft ? I’m so disgusted trying to get trash out is a nightmare! It’s been two months sitting in my garage average temp 80-90 I let it sit out in the sunlight for 4 days also.

Overall paint jobs or partial painting? I use fc710 for spot panel repair buffs out fantastic cures quickly, unlike fc720. Upol is great as well. Overall clears matrix ms-52 and ms-42, I also like nason xl clearcoat
