Nice tutorial. I found it amusing that you stated you were picky on platform placement. I created a grid painted floor just so I could place everything nice. so I know about picky placement.
I usually have temporary lines painted when i set down platforms for sure, it just looks so much better especially on big projects when everything lines up :p
oh! it DOES auto grow it because the seeds are replanted with the repeater! - but this works on the nice plants only - the meaner plants do not work. Still this is REALLY great! :D

Those are a good setup too! The only thing that keeps this one tidy is the storage sensor on the silo shutting it all off. I dont like factories that can overflow and backup so i always put sensors on my stuff to shut them down when they get full!
We basically came up with the same solution but it can be done with a lot less stuff and wiring if you run power cleverly. Set up: Put a button repeater on top of a delay repeater and put that on a medium platform A with a power sensor in the other spot set to power lost or gained, auto arm on medium platform A and storage on medium platform A with storage sensor on the platform. Power going through 2 power switches into the platform for the autoarm then going from that into a 3rd power switch then to the medium platform A with the delay repeater on it. Connect the power sensor to the proximity repeater triggering the plants and connect the button repeater on the delay repeater to the 3rd power switch. Connect the storage sensor to the 2nd power switch. Button repeater triggers the delay repeater so it goes on forever switching the 3rd power switch, but it will only send a signal to the proximity repeater if the 1st and 2nd switch are on letting power through the whole system. When storage is full, it switches the 2nd switch off and the auto arm and delay repeater platform wont receive power and the whole system shuts off. The first switch acts like a on/off switch to the whole system so if you want to unload the full storage and replace it with a new empty one, you can turn the first switch off and everything will remain off while you switch the full storage stopping it from trying to turn on as soon as you pick up the storage/take anything off of it.
Yeah I'm only saving 1 medium platform A and 1 power sensor and like 3 signal pin placements haha. I tested it just now and you can just take out one of the medium platform A's with power sensors on them and change the other power sensor to Power Gained or Lost and it functions just the same since it sends a signal when it loses power and keeps the cycle going without the 2nd power sensor. I didn't know you could use the battery pack to infinitely provide power for power sensor setups, totally stealing that for future automation shenanigans! I also liked the delay signal going to the autoarm to turn it off so it's preloaded with a resource ready to deposit. *chefs kiss*@@TactileObject
watched this just to see how to get some of these nice angles and stuff and had a small lament that it was indeed Levelling block based. I didn't realize one narrow mod was about the size of voxel though, that's neat.
Thanks juicebox! I just used these timings to make sure the proximity repeater always has a couple chances to replant seeds before the arm fills the silo back up and shuts the machine off again :) otherwise you might grab 1 seed off the silo, machine harvests all the plants and the arm fills the 1 seed back on before the proximity repeater can plant the loose seeds

@@TactileObject cool I will check it out and try it in survival at some point, my main focus has been, and will keep being destroying the moon it knows what it did and it must go- i've blown chunks away at it for ages now, but more to do. always more to do.
you can easily add another auto arm to pull seeds off the storage silo to feed usagi, if the farm is the Mutant Hissbine seed kind (and if you get 6 friends to join your game and each spawn their own usagi, you can repeat it on every planet, to have the effect on all the planets at the same time) EDIT: also, great video
Well this is just a tutorial area that i built for showing off different stuff. The platform was built with the leveling block though, if you check some of my other vids i have more showing how true flat works :)

So if you just keep making seeds they will end up over flowing your bowl and make a big mess, so there is a storage sensor on the silo that will tell the the proximity sensor to stop pinging whenever the silo is full, and as soon as you remove a seed from the silo it will start the proximity sensor back up and start making more seeds to refill it! I like to make my stuff with 'overflow' sensors that keep my builds neat and tidy :)
If I do this farm in Sylvia and go to Glacio for example, the farm will still working? Or I have to have the farm in my vision to the seeds can grow up
When I make a mistake and try with my narrow mod to remove 1 pixel it removes on average 3 or more. Now I'm on Ps5. Do you think that has anything to do with it?
No i have most of my time on an old xbox one and it behaves the same as when i am on my pc. True flat is just trickier in adventure mode, its often easier to take away more than you want and then build it back up
@@minvike37 absolutely! Its all about trying different stuff and seeing how the voxels snap together. Once you have done enough you start to know what to expect!
Whenever a plant is harvested it should have one seed that can be replanted automatically and one seed that sort of 'floats', so the plant can keep replanting itself and then the auto arm will take the floating seed away
@Deha aktas for sure! The auto planting works better when they bowl is really crowded, the seeds will knock each other onto the floor and let more be replanted :)
