Auto Train - Girls Road Trip 

Nice video ladies. Me and my wife have taken the Auto Train many of times. We always get a roomette. The one thing i usually suggest to folks is to bring a power strip. Bringing your own snacks and cocktails ain't a bad ideal either.😉 🍸🍸. Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night and watching cars driving south on I-95 and then go back to sleep.

When I moved back home to New York I took it from Orlando to Lorton Virginia and drome my car from there. Loved it.

Thank you for the informative video. What a great idea to take your own car on vacation when you don’t want to drive long distance. Everything seems so organized and efficient.

Timeline: Arrived at Lorton station @ 2:05, parked car @ 2:25, got on train@ 3:30, train left the station @ 4:45, arrived at the Sanford station @ 9:30, in our car and leaving Station @ 10:15

We’ve taken the Auto Train about a dozen times over the years, and the last time was August 2021. They downgraded many creature comforts over the years so I’m happy to see they provided extra water. The breakfast menu is new. We never experienced the cars being off-loaded in the order of loading. That was all very random, just expect to have to wait at least an hour. We decided to upgrade from a roomette to a room because of the condition of the shared bathrooms. People left the bathroom in disgusting condition. You get a private bathroom in a bedroom, which is worth the extra money to my husband (so he doesn’t have to listen to my bathroom rants).

Would love to know what the cost was for the car and passenger train. That would be so helpful for the prices that you had to pay for things. Nice informative video though on the inside of the train.
