Wow, this was an awesome explanation. Thank you. This is exactly what I’ve been searching for. I bought the SR5 trim and none of my driver side window switches have the one touch up feature. Definitely going to get this.

Id suggest for your trim level looking at 3W liners window control module. I have it on my 2012 Tundra CM and I love it. $110 well with it.

Great videos, I'm definitely going with the Autloc up/down module and use your install video. Curious, do you have a video of you moving your sliding back glass control from the default spot on the left side to between the gear shift and the center console? Hopefully I didn't over look it in the playlists. Thanks again for the great videos and information!

Great video and instructions on how to wire this up! I have a SR5 and the driver window is the only window with auto function. So if I understand to make my passenger and both rear windows and back rear window I need a module for each window I want auto up & down?

Does the 22’ come with the switch in the center like that or did you move it to there? If you moved it where did you find the piece to swap out with the tray that is in my 19’?

Great video, just wonder can you use window switch the old intermittent way, or only auto up or down all the way? Some factory have two positions for intermittent and auto, do you have to give up partially putting window up or down? Thx!

Thanks Todd, I appreciate that!...and yes sir, you can stop the windows anywhere by simply pressing the button again...so when you hit the button the first time the window starts going up or down, then hit the button again wherever you want the window to stop and it’ll stop right there...hope that helps, thanks for watching!

I had one of these installed in my 1991 MR2, the window UP is so slow. Compared to my driver side. I wonder if there’s any difference between module. I guess it’s universal, one size fits all.

I wired mine up to the passenger window but no luck. Does the constant 12v get cut or are you just tapping into it? In other words does the switch need constant power after you install the auto log module or is it just left as is?

Did this slow and easy. Got everything connected and worked the first time. Did a mock up first and am now looking for constant 12. Does the back door have a 12 i can connect to other than going through the firewall to the batt?

I was unable to find a constant 12 back there....can’t say it doesn’t exist but I didn’t come across it, wish I knew myself...haha...if I find anything different I’ll let ya know!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but there isn't much info out there on these AutoLoc units. Do you need a separate AutoLoc module for each window you want to convert, or does 1 unit come with enough harnesses for multiple windows? Btw, great job explaining how the wiring works!

Thank you, much appreciated!…No question is a dumb question!…yepper, each window you want to convert needs it’s own module, that’s the only negative of these kits…but even with that being said, this is one of my favorite mods…something so simple but effective, definitely worth the install!

Thanks Richard, I appreciate it!… You need one module for every window you would like to modify… So if you want to add these features to two windows, you would need two modules… Hope that helps!

Do you have a video showing you running your wiring from back window to battery terminals?

I don’t unfortunately, but it’s very easy to do!…if you just pop up the door sill panels on front and rear passenger side doors, you can run the wiring all the way to under the glove box area…there’s a big rubber grommet up under glove box that you can poke through and into the engine bay…once you’re into the bay, just zip tie the wiring accordingly to make sure it’s safe from any moving parts and run it to the battery…hope that helps!

I know this video is for a Tacoma but great help and was wondering if you may have any input for a separate platform. I have a 2018 GMC Acadia has express down but no up so I bought these for my wife’s car and can’t get the auto up function to work. The minute I connect the green wire to the “door” side power it will only let me roll up in tiny increments like it cuts the power. When I release and re-pull the switch same like a 1/4 in of movement then stop, rinse and repeat over and over.

Hey Brandon!… Man that’s strange, I’m honestly not sure what’s going on there… Did you buy more than one unit?… If so I would maybe try another box if you haven’t already and see what happens… Chances are that’s not the problem but at least you can say you ruled out a defective unit… Let me know how you make out, I’ll try to help the best I can!

I'm not an expert but this isn't the first time I have wired stuff in vehicles from alarms to radios and headlights. maybe a bad module was my first thought. I had a second so I swapped them. Reran all the wires to make sure I didn't have a poor connection somewhere and still can't get it maintain power. It jumps from 0-1.10-1.13 and the drops.

I have a 2012 SR5 and it came with the auto down on the driver side only,.. I would like the up and down feature, do i following the same instructions when it already have the down feature or do i wire just the down wire for it to have both features,...?

Hey Jerome!....this is something I have been asked a few times, and unfortunately I’m not sure since I don’t have a vehicle to test it out on...if I had to guess, I would say you can probably just wire the “up wires” since you already have the down feature, but hopefully someone can chime in and answer for sure...I would just wire the up wires and test it out, worst case scenario you can just go back and add the down wire install if needed!...sorry I can’t give you a definitive answer!

How does it know when to stop? I’m thinking about an application for an electric roller lid on a ford ranger tray. If it can open and close longer and sense when it’s fully open or closed.

It has load sensors in it so when it meets the resistance of opening/closing it kills the motor…hope that helps!

Man you are modifying the hell out of the truck. Pretty soon you are going to run out of things to do. Have you found any led taillights for it? I'm talking the whole assembly, not just bulbs. Hopefully just a plug and play type thing. I would like to change mine to led taillights but I'm waiting to see what you do first.

Yea my taillight assemblies are LED, everything but the reverse light....it’s all plug and play as well, took me like 5 minutes to install both sides!...I just swapped out my reverse bulbs to LEDs as well, but all other lights are enclosed LED set ups...now with the reverse bulbs being led as well the whole thing is...they’re the “Winjets”, if you search for them on eBay they’ll pop right up...hope that helps!

These won’t work for ya unfortunately…when you install these the auto feature will work from Drivers master switch and the door you install it as well

Hey Jeff!...that’s part of my “Built Right” system, it’s a system that allows you to store tools or other random items and secure them to those pieces that you see there....I don’t have anything stored in that particular one, but I have other strips in the bed of my truck attached to my BedRug and love em, makes it so easy to organize items that you want to keep in the truck...if you google “Built Right Systems” for trucks you’ll see their site pop up, give them a look!

With this mod, can you also manually push the button to only put the window (door and/or rear) partially down?

Once you push the button the window will go auto up/down, but all you have to do is hit the button again to stop it anywhere along the track...so if you only want to go up/down part way you just hit the button a second time wherever you want the window to stop, hope that helps!

Just by hitting one switch?...I don't think I've ever seen it but where there's a will there's a way...lol...not sure how to but if you got creative with wiring it may be possible

I have a crew cab. The front 2 doors both have auto up/down. I want the driver door to do the auto up/down on the back 2 doors. Do I have to put two of these in that door then?

So, if my master switch has auto for the drivers window but not the passenger, the module will get installed on the passenger switch and yet it’ll still work for auto if I hit the button the master switch or I need a module on both switches?

Hey Ryan!…all ya have to do is install it on the passenger side door and it’ll work from that switch along with the master switch on drivers door…so just 1 module on the passenger side door is all, let me know if ya need anything else!

It does not!...I just realized it not too long ago, I’m going to see if I can figure out how to get around it and make it work again...I’ll keep the channel updated if I can figure it out!

Have you tried holding your door key to the right for 3 sec and see if it rolls all windows down?

No difference at all, the 1000 is a 1 pack, the 2000 is the 2 pack of modules...I confirmed this with Autoloc themselves...hope that helps!

Hmm, I’m not too familiar with that vehicle and it’s wiring…the only times I’ve seen it not work is if the wiring from module is not “tapped” into the correct wire on vehicle, but again I’m not familiar enough with the VW to give any advice on how to fix it…I’m sorry I can’t help more with this one!

Got it installed but it’s not working.all i can heat is the clicking of the autoloc module but no movement on the windows. Is there something wrong with my autoloc module?

Hey Sean, I’ve actually had that happen to me a couple times now as well...I plan on making a follow up video to see if anyone else has had it happen or found a solution...it’s only happened to me a couple times but it’s strange and I’m not sure what’s the cause
