Great video, thanks for sharing, I tow a camper in the summer and this is the perfect setup for me. I really appreciate the comparisons between the stock and BA at the end of the video. Most people just do a tailpipe and a few revs, you went over and above. Big thumbs up!

Great video, I was already leaning towards the 10” system since we tow a camper regularly with the family and your video sealed the deal. I also did not want anything too obnoxious or loud; I also did not want any “drone” when towing. My wife was dreading how the system would sound, but after installing she really digs it.....👍🏻

Installed the 10” without the resonator today, and I am more than pleased. Yes there is some drone at different times but it’s not unbearable. I took my 4 year old son with me for the test drive and he fell asleep 😂 The resonator will sit in the parts bin for now!! Thanks Again!!

Yes sir!...it’s perfect, you def hear it when you hit the gas but it’s nowhere near obnoxious...I almost went with the 8” but with the fam and towing i decided to go 10”...I’m super happy with it, but I think I’ll def be goin with the 8 next time around...kids will be bigger by then...lol

thanks so much for the kind words!!!...glad it helped you guys out!...and for the exhaust tip, believe it or not I actually just painted it...I tried to remove it to replace it with a black tip but couldn't get it off the truck so I just taped off my truck really well and painted the tip to get rid of the chrome!

I actually didn't make a video of the painting process, I used a matte black and then hit it with one coat of a dark grey to almost match the truck...so it has a flat appearance instead of glossy...let me see if I can find what I used, I can't remember the brand off hand

Thank you for making this video very clear instruction got me through my install! I got the 10”. I like this sound, it not too loud, but without the resonator installed, for me there is quite a bit of drone from about 1200rpms to about 1600rpms... It’s just around the 50-60mph. (I have 2021 SR5 4x4) I leaning towards installing the resonator or taking the hit of the 20% restocking fee and returning/exchanging it for the 12”. That’s if the drone on the 12” is less decibels/more bearable. I emailed Keith so I’ll see what he has to say. I’m building my truck to be an overlanding rig and eventually plan on install a long travel suspension and crossing rivers/bodies of water. So, I’m a bit concerned that by installing the resonator I will limit clearance for the suspension and increase the chances of water potentially getting into the system. Thank you again for the video.

Just bought a 2018 Tundra XSP edition on Monday. This set up sounds great and the comparisons are above and beyond anything else I could find. I have 2 questions for you though as I'll be towing my Ranger a TON. I had an aftermarket exhaust on my Tacoma and the towing was next to unbearable with the drone. 1. How bad is the drone on the highway? Enough to get annoying or none at all? 2. In what way is the resonator supposed to affect the sound one way or another? Thank you and awesome vids. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!!…drone is minimal, I can’t say there’s none but it’s not bad at all…my family doesn’t even notice it when we tow the boat for Family vacations… The resonator basically eliminates the drone, I would suggest installing the exhaust without it and see how you like it first… If the drone is too much you can always go back and add the resonator to get rid of it… Hope that helps!… Tight lines!

Yeah absolutely, in my opinion this 10 inch system is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want anything excessive… That growl is there when you want it but definitely more mild than other kits out there if you’re with the family or running around town… It’s the perfect mix, even when towing the boat… Wife and kids don’t even mention it when we go on vacations loaded up with luggage and dragging the boat behind us… Hope that helps!

Thanks man, I appreciate that!…only other engine mod was the Stillen TruPower Stage 2 CAI…I honestly didn’t keep track of mpg, I probably should have just to be able to give my viewers an answer on that…I get asked that a lot…wish I put it in a dyno before and after exhaust and CAI…definitely going to keep better track on the ‘22 TRD Pro I just brought home!

Thank you!!...the TRD exhaust just wasn’t “mean” enough...I wanted something that wasn’t over the top, but definitely noticeable...and this 10” system was perfect!...TRD is ok, but just wasn’t what I was looking for...and they say you get some minor performance gains out of this system, I would tend to agree but hard to tell for sure because I did the Stillen TruPower Stage 2 Cold Air Intake around the same time...I def notice the truck seems to pick up better and it has better response since installing both!

Thanks Jimmie!…I really wish I put it on a dyno before and after the exhaust/CAI install to have solid proof, but it definitely feels like there’s a slight increase in power…don’t get me wrong, it’s nothing mind blowing, but it feels like there is definitely a difference…especially mid range after adding the Stillen CAI…hope that helps!

Thanks brother!...this 10” is perfect, just paired it with a Stillen TruPower Cold Air Intake and the sound is unreal, couldn’t be happier...I’ll have the vid of the CAI up soon if you want to check that out...and the wheel trim I actually just painted...I removed them to paint, they come off real easy...if you’re not sure how to do it I have a vid on the channel for that too...I get a lot of questions on that...hope it helps!

I think you sold me on the 10" instead of the 12". I would like 8", but the wife might kill me... One question: Keith said that the resonator wouldn't affect the over all sound at all and only affects the drone and it's frequency, so I am curious why you didn't install it? Hey Ross!...great question, and honestly I left it off just to see what the system sounded like without it...and I loved it so much I just decided to leave it off...the drone is so minimal with the 10” the wife and kids don’t mind it at all, even when towing the boat for family trips...I figured I could always go back and install if I wanted to, but I’m obsessed with the sound of it so the resonator is just collecting dust at the moment!...lol

Without the resonator it has a slight drone at cruising speed…but not enough for my family or I to even care about…if you add the resonator, it supposedly removes any drone but I can’t speak from experience on that, I threw mine away cause it was just sitting in garage collecting dust…haha

Great video. I have the 8” system ordered. How does the resonator mount? Do I need to cut a hole for it? If so, where? I didn’t find any instructions on the DD site. Hey Michelle!...thank you, I appreciate it!...yea you have to drill a hole in your tailpipe for the resonator, DD actually shows how on their site...if you watch the end of their install video they show exactly where to drill the hole and how to mount it, fairly easy to do...hope that helps, thanks for watching!

They need to make this the new trd pro exhaust. Sounds like it has some punch to it. Might be a future mod for my 2020. I have the trd pro exhaust on my platinum but i am loving the sound this BA Muffler system puts out. How much for what you bought? And which one did you get since I heard Dirty Deeds makes a couple different ones?

Yea this BA system is perfect in my opinion!...love that deep growl but no drone whatsoever...I got mine when he was offering 40% off for essential employees, the one I got was his 10” stainless steel kit

Is the 10 inch new? I didnt see it on the website. I only saw the 6 and 8 inch. Is the 10 suppose to be quieter than the 6 or 8?

Hmm that's strange, if you want the 10 I would call him...i know he still offers it...and yes sir, the 10 is supposed to be slightly quieter than the 8 & 6...for me it's perfect because it still has plenty of that deep growl but it's not obnoxious when I have the family with me!

Thank you!...and not at all, they custom build their systems to avoid that exact loss...Keith (the owner) is phenomenal to talk to, first time I called them to inquire about their systems, he spent 45 mins on the phone with me explaining the difference with their systems and how they’re made specifically for the Tundra to actually avoid any loss of torque...hope that helps!

yea no prob!...the 10" is slightly less aggressive and recommended by Dirty Deeds for people who tow alot (I tow a boat often)...so it's not quite as loud when RPM's are higher...but after owning it, towing or not, the sound is perfect for me!!

The resonator is supposed to get rid of the drone, but honestly I don’t think it’s needed!...so it “quiets” the drone that some people don’t like at cruising speeds, but this 10” system is perfect for me without it!

@@NitroZ18Fishing Drone is MUCH more than minimal without the resonator. It is awful without the resonator at the exact RPM's you typically cruise at around town and on the highway. Install the resonator and the sounds is absolutely perfect. Tones down the raspiness and everything. Sounds mean without being obnoxious. I realize everyone has different preferences but you can't possibly call it minimal.

@@NitroZ18Fishing It seems I am the only one here who has tried with and without. While you may ignore the drone, it is most definitely very loud as you’d see if you installed the resonator. It not only makes driving the truck more enjoyable but you hear the beauty of the exhaust even more with the annoying drone eliminated.

I’m loving this 10” system, it’s perfect!...I left resonator off, without it it’s exactly what I was looking for, no regrets at all!...can easily talk on bluetooth, almost no drone at all, hope that helps!

Not at all, Keith’s kits are made to avoid just that!...definitely glad I called and talked to him, he’s ridiculously knowledgeable when it comes to exhausts for our Tundras...I was going to go with a dual exhaust and he explained to me why they lose low end torque and completely changed my mind!

Not yet, my camper is stationary...we leave it on site year round so the only thing I tow on a regular basis is my bass boat...we went on a family vacation towing the boat and with the truck LOADED down with luggage, traveled 3.5 hours away each way and the exhaust is awesome...no way I’m installing the resonator, drone is minimal at best, not even enough for my wife and kids to notice...love this 10” system!

It’s definitely louder/deeper but it all comes down to preference…if I didn’t tow the boat so much I would have went with the 8”, or maybe the 6”…if ya go with the 6” I would probably install the resonator to get rid of drone…hope that helps!
