what comes with the 30 watt premium solar panel kit ? I would like to use this panel to power a car battery charge/maintain set up in a classic car that only gets driven 2 or 3 times a year. Does this come with a regulator to prevent overcharging ? is monocrystalline best choice for cloudy areas ? thanks

Can I just run power from the house instead of using a battery?

That's an excellent question, Johan! You can certainly use the power from your house rather than solar, but the battery is still required. All of our systems are 12 volt primary operating systems. The use of 110 volts is to trickle charge the battery. We include a transformer that plugs into a standard AC power outlet that reduces it to 18 volts.

My ghost opener just stopped working, it’s on Solar with the 2 small batteries in the box. I charged the batteries with a/c adapter for 24 hours, the control arm is extended all the way in the closed position, I tried to jog it back with the open jog button but only get a lot of multiple rapid beeps.. I’ve turned it off and on but nothing… any ideas? Could the batteries be dead?

It was the Solar panel not getting sufficient amount of Sun to keep batteries charged, so I went on the transformer with an extension cord and of course I had to reset everything!!’ Ugh but it’s fine now… I need a larger solar panel… lots of cloudy days here in the Fall / Winter

@@Garylee62 I think I'm experiencing something similar.

@@gammacreatives Charge it with your A/C converter… it fixed my issue… I think I’ll leave it on the a/c converter all winter, less sun and shorter days… in the spring I’ll switch back to solar powering the batteries
