Can't be done with a 10ms ats. The breakers also only break the hot lead. That is what you have the rcd for. It will break neutral if the current doesnt add up

@@josephrosa5845 If using a transfer switch with control lines for each power source couldn't you interrupt line A and the power line B with power maybe with a short delay. In this control circuit you could have timer for when each circuit is active . The relays in the ATS would only allow one power supply to be on at a time. Maybe I do not understand how this works and would appreciate any help any one could provide. I am trying to power devices for a certain time on 2 different electric power services to be able to take advantage of the lower off peak rates on 1 of the services. @@nyameamah That's exactly what I want to do I want to switch from one meter to another meter which is an off-peak meter at certain times to buy power to charge my electric car. Can I interrupt the service from circuit A with a relay and a timer to be able to engage circuit B ? I thought this was a good solution because you have a mechanical interlock contacts on inside of the ATS and you also have a high amperage availability on these units. If you interrupt the control for circuit A and make it make it look open and it'll switch to the circuit B with a delay would this be possible? After the timing interval on circuit B it would open the control circuit and close the A circuit enabling the original A power source again with a delay for safety. This would happen daily according to the schedule for your off-peak power currently ours is 2300 hours to 0700 hours all 7 days. Thank you for your reply. BigBarney

48 amps system tested and approved for well over 8 months and no sign of over heating yet. Switches over between loads every day.

@@DIYTechRepairs take a look inside it and you'll see how frail it is. Also if it locks in between changes I'll heat up so fast that if you not around you could have serious problems.

@@MrJorgecg I did have it apart. Feel free to point out the design flaws that you see. Also compare what you think is a flaw towards how an ABB or Schenider version is built

48 Amps system has been working with one of this 100 amp rated 3 poles 220 for over 8 months now, cycling between sources everyday without flaws, no sing of overheating or hot spots or anything of that matter. Computers only reset sometimes going from A to B, but stay on form B to A.
