Thanks for this! In the process of swapping a modern trans into an old Chevelle that requires accurately "dialing in" the bell housing. There is a possibility the original dowel pins will need to be replaced with adjustables. Thanks again.

Great idea and very informative video. Can you post the dimensions of that tool? I have a Nephew that owns a machine shop and could make me one of those. I have a M22 install coming up soon in a 69 Camaro and want to check BH alignment. The 396 has been line bored due to a spun main so, I feel assured the concentric is going to be off. I will be installing offset dowels but the engine is in the car and I know it's going to be hard getting the originals out of a 50 year old block.
