I'm a Truck Driver I've used these for 4 years on mountain passes out west love them very important do not use on dry pavement it will destroy them quickly.

I ve been using this for 3 winter now in Canada. Excellent performance and I go with Upto 40 miles per hour - no problem. No noise at all. Make sure buy right size for your tires

I've used my AutoSocks for 3 winters now. They work great. No holes in mine at all. Once the pavement starts to show, I pull into the nearest parking lot and easily pull them off. At this point, my AllSeason tires are good enough.

Thankfully I live in Seminole, Florida. But our beloved hometown Bucs did win the Super Bowl and they said that would happen when Hell froze over, so I guess it is a possibility and I should look into these.

My Porsche never managed to get stuck in snow. But I have higher clearance, thinner tyres and a designated Winter tyre set.... and a lot less wait. But on your model and the rarity of snow/ice in your area; I believe these snow socks are a great option. Especially when compared to chains. In Canada (in Quebec), you can (I don’t have) ...also have studded tyres - which change the capabilities of any vehicle on ice/snow (mostly ice). Also, nobody really notices a Honda/Ford/Toyota/etc. getting stuck in snow. But with a Porsche (and my past 7-series) literally everybody (mostly jealous people) .. notice. These snow socks appear to be a great light-weight option. Thanks Brad (and Y-tube girlfriend), for another light hearted video.

I just got them. I live on a horrible ice snow road that can’t be plowed. Have 4 W drive Jeep. Put on rear wheels. Work great!

in some vids I keep hearing they don't work on ice if they are already matted with snow. I live in MI and we get real snow 4 to 6 inches easily even with a light storm and way more that that in a big one (I also get lake effect snow) so we have snow packed roads and some ice here and there at the same time I just want to make sure on ice these won't do worse than my regular tires, I have front wheel drive too

Great vid. Glad to know there is a nonchain option. They would come in handy if you were out somewhere and was unexpectedly hit with a snow storm. Fortunately you've got the extra ground clearance. :)

I bought a set as your video persuaded me that with a nice car with low pro tyres - snow chains can just damage those expensive alloys. I doubt if I'll get stuck in the south of the UK but I know with these in the car it will cope with whatever we have here. Thanks - good video!

AutoSocks are pretty good on but not always better than chains. On the tv show Highway Thru Hell(Big tow trucks get people unstuck on an extremely snowy and icy highway on a mountain) and someone used the AutoSocks and couldn't get up, while others were able to get up using chains. It just depends on the situation and the place you live

Used them and worked very well on front wheel drive Mazda, got it on Amazon for 100$, most expensive socks I ever had 🙂 There is a size chart for different wheel sizes, so choose the correct one before purchase, it's not like one universal size ✌

Not trying to troll your comment bro, because it is true but sad you would have to point that out - different sizes. Be just like getting chains - different sizes. Same for tires or rims, themselves. Or anything really. What I mean is - people - if you need something - make sure it will work/fit your particular application/need! Don't buy anything blindly! Cheers...

I have a BMW X3. Used them on the front wheels, no problem with traction but also the steering at braking were decent as well.

Thanks for this video man, been looking at getting these for my fwd audi. This is all I needed to see to pull the trigger. The way I see it, even if they only last a few uses theyre much cheaper than chains and can get you out of a situation where you may otherwise be stranded. Not being stranded is worth the 50 bucks all day long!

You can also try a Tire Grip Spray, eBay and Amazon has...it's a spray can, creates a sticky rubber layer on tire tread, enough to drive about 50 miles, very handy, I used that as well, worked like a champ ✌

I might try to convince my older brother to get a pair of those Brad. Shoot I might buy some too for my 2003 Toyota Camry LE if I were to drive in deep snow as appose to having to drive my father's 2010 Toyota Highlander that is 4WD. Not a bad car but the visibility was something I had to get use too.

how the fluff did you manage that with that wheel arch clearance? i have michelin easy grip but the net thingies are so stiff i cant put them on properly as i cant fit my arms in the arches, doesnt even work on the front tyre

Fwd cars can get away with just a single pair but on a rwd you really ought to have a 2nd pair for the front - eg the wheels that do the steering and most of the braking

when you see some of the other people's videos of them using these particular socks especially on jagged ice it tears holes through them chains are a pain in the ass but they are the best bet in my opinion the socks are great for fresh powder but not in a situation where it goes snow and then bear concrete they tear up too easily that's been my experience

It saved me a lot of times during my winter drive to the mountain with heavy snow and icey condition. It works better than my chain. You need to drive with a light foot to avoid spinning. Once you spin, you loose traction and you destroy the socks quickly.

You know what else works good.... proper winter tires where you don't have a speed limit you should stay under oh and also you will have front end grip when turning as you can tell when you were turning around. Sounds like this is just a sad attempt at advertising.

Really only useful for "emergency use"... lasted me 5 or 6 uses (less than a month). First use was a life-saver; got caught on a heavy snow dump, other cars were spinning out, stuck. I got home okay. They worked fine on a Snowboarding trip up canyons and mtn roads (going 30 mph at most), but the wear and tear happens quickly. By the 5th or 6th use they were just rags hanging around my tires. Bought CHAINS in the middle of the trip.

Okay, everyone is ignoring this and pretending it not to be true, but it's a fact and needs to be said: that's a shitty car. It looks good, but its usefulness is extremely lacking. Tiny trunk, low clearance, oversized wheels, oversized engine... If you want to actually drive somewhere for real, this car is not a good option.
