@@lostweekendscaravan Thanks Phil. I was a bit concerned that the distance between the car's dashboard and the camera on the back of the caravan might kill the signal. Thanks again.
Hi Paul. Yes it can. If you push the button on the 12 v plug it actives and you can see behind you. I have used it as a mirror over the last month whilst using it. 120 seconds is enough time as well. Hope this helps. Thanks Phil.👍🙂
Very neat looking non invasive rear camera solution and at great price. Just one question, does it have the range / signal strength to allow use on a twin axel van? If number plate mounted at the back of the van there is a lot of steel in the van chassis and car body to disrupt the camera signal. Any chance you could tape it to the plate on back of your van to see it still works when your rig is hitched? Chris
Hi Chris. It will work really well with a twin axle. It is a digital signal rather than analogue so the is no interference. They claim the system has a 40m range and is shielded from Wifi and Bluetooth devices. I choose not to fix to the caravan basically because I have a wired system and honestly did not want remove my recently fitted number plate. I have been using this system for over month and at present I have had no issues. My trailer is made of steel and alloy and has not interrupted the signal. It is just as good as my wired system but far cheaper. If you need any more info check this video out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-USdaA2iVjFo.html Thanks Phil👍🙂
@@lostweekendscaravan Reason for asking was that I use the Garmin BC40 with my Garmin satnav which works ok but I know some people have connection issues the greater the distance. It’s also a digital signal.
