Autumn General Manager Update - 2023 

Excellent update! All sounds really positive and I'm really pleased! Great news about Blaenau improvements! So pleased to hear this. It's a bloody shame that the budget from TFW has vanished as the plans I saw looked great. I'm also pleased to hear that there's no intention to close off the crossing by the water tower. I remember that gate when it was shut and it's a very handy access from the Square to the town. Looking forward to seeing this develop. Paul and his teapot talk again!! James Spooner is exciting! I remember DLG launched in 1992/93. If I remember correctly DLG was at Harbour Station during the Hunslet Gala weekend(?). I have a photo of 7/8 year old me, Dad & Taid (grandad) with DLG during that weekend. I'm hoping to recreate that 3 generations photo with JS but with my, girls (who are 7+8) and my Dad after it's launched. If only my Taid was around to see it.

Thank you for the amended version! It seems completely daft to have had to redo the segment, anyone with ANY industry experience would know that Mr L, of all people, would have possession of the line and it would be closed to allow filming, this negating the orange jacket at the time. Well done for dealing with the "issue" in such a gentle and sensible way.

they have done a wonderful job of building their new steam engine. Boston lodge clearly hasn't lost that engineering ability to build iron horses

Since you're investing in electric locos, is there any mileage in building in some railhead cleaning lasers to help combat potential wheelslip issues at low cost on an ongoing basis, rather than splashing out on tree surgeons? \m/

Excellent update and certainly appreciated by those of use who can't get down to the railway very often. As far as redoing the infrastructure segment with hi-vis jacket, well done for recognising the issue and taking action. There are too many examples on social media of people trespassing onto railway infrastructure to get a backdrop for their content; the railway community needs to show leadership to publicise the risks of doing that - our viewers are not just people with industry experience.

A idea for something that the railroad can do is make a manlift or cherrypicker as there known inthe usa on a flat and a wood chipper for tree trimming
