Glad you're back and starting to feel better 😊 it was such a lovely time at the event! I know what you mean about being on a high after it, and like watching people light up when they talked about their makes! ❤ hope we can hang out again soon!
Bri, you painted such a wonderful picture of the Minerva party. I really wish I had splurged on the tickets and gone now! It's so cool that you are able to go around and talk to everyone about their makes. That is definitely a big part of what draws me to RU-vid, both making videos, but especially watching them. It's always incredibly inspiring to hear people talking about their creative process and what they're proud of in their makes. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I'm really sorry to hear that you got sick, but somehow you still looked amazing and your photos. As far as creative inspiration, I'm deep in the process of muslin fitting before I cut into my wedding dress fabric. It's probably not the space you want to be in. Haha! Wishing you some satisfying sewing projects, when you are ready.
It's my favourite thing about RU-vid too! That sounds so exciting - I can't wait to see! I've got some quick satisying projects ready to go once I've got the right energy to actually sit down and cut in.
Listening to you describe the "blooming" is how I feel when I watch your channel. You are so uplifting and it's a contagious feeling. I'm glad you had a great time! Sorry to hear about your illness but I'm glad you're on the mend. (Also, new subscriber after having found your channel recently and bingeing on a bunch of your videos!)
Hi Bri, a most enjoyable video and I am glad you had such a great time at the Minerva function. Well done you for encouraging others to share about their outfits 💃💃 The fabrics you purchased a just gorgeous and the dress pattern you have chosen will be perfect. 🌸
When I eventually get to visit the UK I definitely want to make an appointment to meet with the team at Minerva. I love that they are a family business, I love that Vicki's parents have supported her vision, which is so clever. We live in Tasmania so we are a long way from Minerva home base. I hope one day Minerva might open a branch in Australia!
Hi Bri, that was lovely and I hope you are feeling better soon. It was so lovely to meet you in person as a fellow minerva maker☺. In my excitement I forgot to take any photographs at the event. You are right about that dark fabric it is gorgeous. x
Lovely to hear about the Minerva day. I was gutted I did not get to go but every train to Manchester was cancelled so I couldn’t get there! I’ve been a Minerva customer for 10 years. They used to have a fantastic shop but closed it to expand the on-line. Love your choices and definitely I’d go fo the Rita dress that would look beautiful
So glad that you're feeling better and that you had a lovely time at the Minerva events! I currently have strep and it's awful. :( I am very much in a cozy vibe right now and have been slowly sewing up the Seamwork Amari and Closet Core Plateau sweat short. Really been looking to comforting foods, activities and projects .
Thanks for sharing Bri, I loved your description of blooming sewists. Kind of wish I had gone seeing all the lovely photo's! Glad you are feeling better and that the styling of your knit bottoms turned out to be fun ! Im currently making a leatherette Harley Quinn costume that one of my teens has tequested for Halloween but my sewjo is a little low too atm !
