This machine is such a beast, ever since switching to this, I’ve been able to do everything and bring it to a whole different level. The machine is almost weightless and has a really tight grip. For around $400 you get everything you need from a tattoo machine, lining, packing, and shading. I have the 4.2 mm stroke which is a stronger hit and something I prefer more.
Awesome video! It’s a great machine feels great in the hand now I do agree with the battery touch screen feature but definitely not a deal breaker for me. For only 400 dollars you get a quality machine that can line, color pack, and shade. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to upgrade and also not spend a thousand dollars on a machine. Also Element tattoo supply has definitely become my favorite supply store to order from they are very professional and always get my order from CA to TX in less than 3 days. Much love to those guys out there Bobby is a great dude, and also Tyler for posting this review on this machine.
Hi, I have some question. Can I use this machine lining and shading ( 2 in 1 )? I don’t have experience with Tattoo. But i would like to try. Thank you
Very nice video! I have this machine for a couple of months now, and I’m quite happy with its performance -I sold my previous Cheyenne pen and I stick to this one. About the way you wrap this machine in plastic, isn’t it hard or nearly impossible to turn the grip when the machine is covered that way?
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial thank you for your response. Yes, I cover the grip area with wrap tape and overlapping the area it has to turn. I think I pretty much tried the way you did in the video, but for some reason the plastic gives me some tension and I cannot turn the grip properly 🤔
I used a xnet blade while my sol nova unlimited was being repaired and I have to say I really do like the xnet blade.but this machine is on my list to try definitely.i just really like my sol nova unlimited, and a few other machines.as always great review and keep them comen.
It depends on how your hand works/ what kind of needles you are using/ what part of the body you are on and other factors. Not really a cut and dry answer honestly
I’m not sure what motor it has honestly, the link for the product page is in the video description. And if it needs to be repaired you would end up sending it back to the company
In the video you said you would put a discount code for this machine in the description. When I follow the link to element tattoo supply the price isn’t discounted. I can’t seem to find a code either, is it not there or am I missing something? Sorry to complain, also thank you for the great videos!
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial thanks for the speedy response, but the link isn’t applying any discount for me, I’ve checked on three separate devices now. Is it possible that the link doesn’t work for people out side of the states? Canada specifically? I’m sure you’ve got better things to do than dealing with RU-vid complaints, but I’m incredibly cheap and poor so a discount would be cool haha.
No problem! And I have only used the wand liner. They both have the same stroke, but the motors are different. It might be slightly better just because it’s a better quality but over all I like the harder hit for bigger liners
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial packer is 4,2 stroke, but same motor. Sorry to be the correctional nerd. *putting my glasses* but yeah id ageee. Bishop motor is supersmooth.
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Totally man! Not gonna lie, I'm pretty terrified of using a 5 stroke machine, even when it's pushing larger liners. Right now I'm between the Bishop Packer and the Ava EP7+, I think where I'm at in my career, the EP7 seems to be insanely good value for what it is. T-Tech also have a new membrane capillary cartridge, and I'm loving them - less worries about cross contamination. The new membrane is also square, so it stops a bit of the internal needle rotation that can happen based on the physics of rotaries pushing from a circular motion around the motor (the way the cam spins)
I love your reviews Tyler. You are the most honest for reviews on RU-vid! I do have a question but not about this machine. It's time for me to get something of quality I spoke to you before about this and we narrowed it down for me between the axis Valhalla and the Vlad. I'm leaning towards the Valhalla. My question is if you choose to go wireless say with the critical battery packs on the Valhalla how does it feel? Being the machine is a little longer than the average small pens. Which I like being longer. Or should I go with FK Irons battery. So basically that's my concern down the road using it wirelessly if you can shed some light on that and give me your honest opinion I would greatly appreciate it. Oh are there any groupings the Valhalla had issues pushing like say a 18rl? Thank you Tyler. As always much much RESPECT!
Hey ! So the Valhalla with a battery compared to other pens is very tall which can be straining on your hand. I prefer other pens when it comes to wireless. Unless you have a battery that hangs off the back and not straight up.
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial thanks for the reply. I’m from Italy and element tattoo are quiet expensive on shipping worldwide. So I’m trying to find another website in the EU and machine that’s roughly the same price to start with 😉
Hey man. Love your reviews. I’m about to pull the trigger on an Avenger 2 pro. I was wondering if you use it with battery pack and how well it runs with them? Also are you still rating it highly? (I’ve watched your reviews on it) I currently have a bishop Wand Packer that I use for everything and it’s awesome. But looking for something to do soft shading and bold lines because the Packer does everything between those awesomely. Thanks for any help. Cheers!
Hey thanks ! The avenger 2 pro is my favorite machine still by far. I don’t use battery packs on it but you can. It could just sometimes get in the way depending on which one you have
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial thanks for the reply. I know they are currently trialling a wireless version of this machine. Looks a bit wider as it has battery pack inside it. Will be interested to see how that goes
Great video thanks! I actually just received mine today, what sort of voltage were you using for lining/ colour packing with it? I have had a play but can't seem to find a sweet spot. Any help would be appreciated!
sold this machine to a coworker at my studio, did not get the adaptors, nor the extra battery. after 8 months to a year of use, the battery died and i got the bishop liner while waiting for the replacement battery. took 4 months to get that, and the new one died on my coworker after ish the same amount of time. the touch is terrible, and under the cover its holes with springs, that if one button is not working one can fuck with the springs in said buttons hole, and it might work again. seemed unreliable so i moved on. performance is good, but all the fuzz was a bummer. i really liked the old ep 7, it had buttons(that sucked their own way) but that one is still going strong in the hands of another coworker. been using ava for 3 years now and 3/5 machines have failed to the point of me moving on. this is all hidden behind the price. good when they work, sadly they tend to break :( could not be happier with my vlad blad avenger 2 pro and bishop liner wand. With that I´ve got an Ava maxon for backup shader.
Ah that sucks. Thankfully you don’t have to break the bank for one of them. It’s definitely not one of my main use machines. I throw it in rotation here and there. But agreed the wand liner and VB avenger 2 have my heart still lol
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial yeah, for sure dude. Was kinda hoping a review of this machine/brand would cross your path. it sure is great when new. but ive tried the gt-smart, ep7, ep7+ and the ava maxon(only one still going) although i got two ava batteries (first gen ones with buttons). they do last me around 9 hours on the wand. buuut they charge with micro usb.... 70$ a pop, so i cant complain there. was in contact with ava a while, while waiting for the battery fix, and figured out the leads on the wires inside are rubbish. changed them out, tightened a few odd screws and dang that ep7 ran like a chainsaw. would like more ava batteries with buttons and usb-c, since they do last so long. but a boy can hope, am i right.. probably going critical battery set, if im not tempted to go back in time with the chords. recently tried a cheyenne thunder, and damn that shit was crazy good. so im back drooling for yet another toy..
@@SindreThePunk I’ve been using the critical batteries over a year now and they are great. Pricy but worth it for sure. I’m always wanting new gear so I feel you there haha
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial after the bleak mid winter, when everything is aligned, i will indeed get them. But the ava batties work fine. Only shitty thing is no % view and micro usb charging. Since being comfortable with vb avenger 2, and the cable again, im admittedly drooling a littlle over the cheyenne thunder tho. 4mm stroke stronger motor in the newest ones. WHEN WILL THIS ADDICTION END!?
Sooo.....if your not going to use it very often.....or you have copious amounts of tattoo pens just laying around.....you know. Extra clutter. No one wants that. Sooooo can I have one....please. Pretty please. I'll be your friend....but seriously can I have one...
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Nice toy…👌 If Ultron got some weak points , I would say that would be the lines ( even they are ok, but max 7RL )….Ultron 2 is perfect Machine without any weakness ( got stronger motor than the first Ultron )……If you are fan of Avenger 2 pro ( and I know you are ) you will love Ultron 2…🤙
