You truely are a blessing to the tattoo community, prevented people from purchasing machines which does not match the stylé of work(some people have 1 or 2 specific style) they do or sponsored artists over selling or lie about what the machines can really do on their reviews, I was one too ages ago, but my main machine was from a different company, being a Christian I gave that up, and later volunteered for a non profit organization in one of the worst hit heroin epidemic state in my Great Grandfather's Homeland in Aizawl, Mizoram India bordering the conflicted and Heroin capital, Myanmar, with my Wife and my 18 yr old Daughter and 16 yr old Son's blessings, giving them counseling and therapy through tattoo claases before they relapsed, my rewards? Having all my prized tattoo machines and accessories stolen by the very people I was trying to help, that was almost 2 years ago, but I never gave up, because it helped many people who quit their habits and find decent jobs, with the little money I saved, I ordered several cheap workable Chinese knockoffs, and Franky (Franco Vescovi) hearing my rather unlucky situation from a friend of mine sent me boxes of cartridges and several 4 ounces ink bottles, began tattoing the locals with the utmost care and sterilization starting from 50$ due to the economy, on my off days, that helps a lot. there are 3 who volunteered including me, both Pastors, my 23rd year as a professional tattoo artist, not counting my apprenticeship years, God has been good to me just as I prayed that He will be to you, alwaus stay Honest brother🤘🏻

@Xccute
@Xccute Год назад
(DO NOT TATTOO BRIGHT AREAS FIRST!!!) finish all the solid black areas and only then start shading with your grey wash. otherwise your light greys will pick up a darker tone from the blacks that u will smudge across them.

I disagree. With grey wash it doesn’t matter. With light colors this is true.. but I wouldn’t worry about doing light greys and then black. I do it all the time.

I use practice skins for all of mine, and i have friends who have already signed up for small tattoos from me. (Personally, I want to do one on myself before doing someone else, i think having first hand experience of how im maneuvering will help me to make the appropriate changes. But wont even do myself until i feel confident). My practice skins tho... i have ADHD and I hattee doing practice lines. I find it boring an i loose focus. But even when i do focus i find my lines are horrendous....i even stenciled lines to practice on an i still get messy. But my line work is sooo much smoother when i draw a full design. My first practice skin ever was a skull and flowers 🤣 i do try to alternate sessions of design, line work, design, etc. But still. I dont feel judged at all, I have been obsessively watching all kinds of videos like this so I can learn, an i prefer the honesty. 😊

I was blessed to have a tattoo artist as a celly for over a year and a half. I have a full back piece from 1997-1998. Everybody loves the detail but it has faded in the last 25 years or so. Problem is that i wont let anyone touch it. I have political ink and i dont think i want it bright again. Im 49 and i dont want any trouble. I will always be proud to earn it but no need to blast it anymore. Growing up and getting old stinks

@@Meatleafplug “looks good after it healed” does fake skin heal? His point is yes u can tattoo fake skin but till u know how ur tattoos heal on a human you won’t know how ur legit doing. Some tattoo artist (me) tend to not go deep enough and it fades over time, some are the opposite but ur line can look perfect and they heal wrong because you didn’t do it right, real skin teaches u that

@ThatTattooGuyOfficial

It really depends how much the artist is paying. If they are paying a large percentage the shop should have most of the artists needs. If it’s lower then paper towels and sanitary supplies. That’s in my experience. I’m sure it’s different everywhere

@ThatTattooGuyOfficial I've been drawing all my life, I tattooed in prison for several years, but my drawing skills are good. My friend bought me a pos 50 dollar wormhole...well the practice on fake skin went obviously pretty well...I'm used to the handmade ones that are rotary but the pen style I really enjoy because it obviously feels more like a pencil. What pen style gun, with a 5 to 700 dollar budget would you recommend? I plan on mainly focusing on realism.

Brother- thanks so much!! I have an ego issue due to how smart I seem on paper, though there is SOME advantage I have to learning things. The obvious difficult issue here is trying to interpret "the feel" QUICKLY for shading, lining- EVERYTHING. Starting on myself- EXACTLY AS YOU SAID- "YOU DON'T WANT YOUR TATTOO 2D!!"... That's why I'm using tattooing(which is a passion) for cathartic reasons, as well as making a LASTING work- which again was BRILLIANT- THANK YOU!! So how do you first tat yourself? I call this "Van G'ocean", but it's equally(attempted as) Monét influenced as well- 2D!!! And as a BEGINNER, you just keep coming back with lines of motion, and learning to fill and shade. I do maybe 20 min. at a time- again- it's cathartic. Tonight the first stage is almost done. Yes- it's TOTALLY 2D, and I went for some scars on the crest of a few waves, but I'm pretty proud of where it's going. No non- artist has any clue what it's about to look like, and mostly because I only do a small bit each time. Going through a TON of shit right now, and THIS gives me SOLACE, and sadly a MUCH APPRECIATED alternate pain to focus on. Ooh- digging into that wrist bone is INTERESTING!! 😂😂😅

Just starting out. I am my own lab rat 😆 But your videos are definitely informative. I ordered a machine kit on Amazon to fix tattoos that i got at a party in highschool. Its correct what you said in this video. Just because One is an artist on paper and canvas doesnt mean they will do good at tattoos. Totally different fields. Because of your videos and a few other peoples videos my first tattoo was a success. I already have people wanting me to give them tattoos. But as ive explained to them, I am not a professional, I am not licensed, and I do not want someone to end up with a crap tattoo because I am not experienced on any level. I i screw "my" tattoo thats my own fault and i have to live with that. But i am starting an apprenticeship at a couple local tattoo parlors. I working at two different ones because they are brother that each own their own parlor and they both excell at their own skills and designs. If im doing this i want to be great, i want to learn from people very experienced. Even if i become great there is always room to learn from more experienced artists.
