Avalon Road, Orlando, Florida | DRIVING VLOG | Flamingo Crossing, Hartzog Road, Horizon West, Hamlin 

Join me as I drive through some of the newer construction of the WEST SIDE of Disney, Orlando and Orange County, Florida. Avalon Road is a major North-South road that is follows the 429 corridor and weaves through residential and business areas. This area is fast-changing and it won't look this way for long! This area is VERY CLOSE TO WALT DISNEY WORLD and still under construction.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
- EXPERIENCE: Avalon Road is currently under a lot of stress. It is one of the only North-South Routes between 192 and Winter Garden that is not a toll road. Between Avalon Road and Hwy 27 there is currently very little connection so all of the traffic trying to get across this great divide is on this 2 lane road of the toll road. During peak tourist season or peak traffic times (work, school, etc) this road can take a lot of patience and time.
- THINGS TO TAKE: Water or your favorite beverage and a great playlist or podcast.
- PARKING: most of the parking for the shopping, dining, businesses in this video is free to the public
- PRO TIP: Look at Google Maps before you go!
- PRO TIP #2: Beware of elevated sidewalks, ditches and shopping carts. Cart-drive responsibly.
- ACTIVITY CONSIDERATIONS: This new side of town is great place for adults, children and animals who like to be near Walt Disney World and don't mind traffic and firework sounds.
