I love the detail that earlier on in the series Iroh tells Zuko "a man needs his rest" and Zuko completely blows his advice off, but NOW Iroh reiterates that advice, and a wiser more experienced Zuko Listens... slow growth
Genuinely couldn’t care less the difference of time between the start and end of the seasons being uploaded. No matter how long it takes I know that I and many others will still watch. Feel completely free to take breaks no pressure. Edit: those are some neat flags in the background

One fun interesting fact is: as they told us, the moon was the spirit who pull water and the ocean the one who push it. If you watch closely, everytime the giant fish (who used the body of aang, the avatar, as a channeler) used waterbending, since it was the ocean spirit, it was only pushing water, never pulled it.
They did mention in this episode that Iroh has been in the spirit world which explains why he saw Roku's dragon and Aang while they were in spirit form
@@BlueOrder Oh it definitely is! Atla is an incredible show not only because of the cool story and characters, but also because of the writing and how well everything connects with the storyline. I couldn't name even a single plot hole if I tried, which only proves that atla is a literal masterpiece! Anyways, I'm very excited for your future reactions, Blue, I'm sure you'll love book 2 and 3
Now I want to see an alternate universe where Tui and La are two frogs on a lilypad. Would be cute lol But anyway, these two episodes are just too good. Had a lot of great moments, but I got chills watching the Water Tribe soldiers bow down to the ocean spirit, while the Fire Nation Soldiers refused to and got fucked up. Also, Zuko made so many stupid choices this episode, you gotta love the guy. Thank you for another video!
I just absolutely love the water spirit and just the sheer shock and awe of everyone witnessing it. Spirits are not to be messed around with man (like Koh jeezus)
The book 1 finale is so good. The ominous black snow. The spirit stuff is so creepy. Zuko’s crazy ice water swimming, Zuko vs Katara, Zuko’s little speech. Aang saving Zuko. Iroh defending the spirits. Zuko trying to save Zhao despite him trying to kill him. Koizilla trashing everyone.
I think Avatar is my favorite shows of all time. I watched Avatar by myself and I loved it, but I think I started adoring this show when I held my brother at gunpoint to watch it with me.

Wished you talk more about that scene at 2:52 where Zhao was taken by the Ocean spirit while Zuko tried to save him but only for Zhao to silently refuse by pulling his arm back. And how do you think Zuko felt when Zhao refuses Helped when it was his life was in danger? It probably messed with Zuko’s self-esteem issue quite a bit.
I have loved revisiting this show in this way and these have been making me so damn happy. Thank you so much blue for still making us happy after all this time. ALSO best character coming up soon so I'm Uber excited.

i love this episode so much, just so many things about it, TWO onscreen deaths in a nickelodeon cartoon, (and with Zhao i personally really love how Zuko tries to help him but Zhao is a bitch and would rather die) I love the backstory of Yue and the ocean and water spirits, and the facestealer is terrifying and i love it also Iroh staying behind with Yue, Sokka and Katara not to mention all the other things in this episode that are great like the animation like AUGH i love this episode
The fucking editing on Yue’s “I’m gay” at 3:10 GOT me. Omfg. Also you absolutely do not have to apologize or pressure yourself into either recording or editing if you’re not in the right mental state to do so. I personally would rather you be healthy and happy and have a video every once in a while because you actually enjoy the show and want to watch it, not because people are expecting you to. It’ll suck the fun out of it v quickly. You do you, the algorithm brought you up immediately when you posted Avatar again, you got this.

Your editing during the fight scenes is my favourite, like, when Zuko dodges Xhao's attacks, and the paper mario TTYD lucky sound effect + visual happens, that genuinely got me. I'm really glad you're enjoying this show mate! You're gonna enjoy it way more henceforth, Book 2 is when stuff starts getting REAL, and also when THAT character who I also mentioned in a previous comment comes, you'll know who when you meet them, for now, enjoy the ride, and take your time getting these episode man, I love yo stuff!!
Fun fact: This is the first time we see Aang enter the Avatar State willingly. All the other times it was caused because he was in emotional stress or physical Danger. Edit: this is a nice little way of showing us just how catastrophic this event was.
I would consider the Moon being destroyed a form of danger, and the ocean spirit's anger calling out to him on a spiritual level probably had a lot to do with pushing him over the edge. I'm pretty sure "Willingly going into the Avatar state" is one of the many things the whole show is building up to. Aka, first time he willingly does it is after the final battle.
I'd say it was the Ocean Spirit channeling through him before merging. Same thing in the Winter Solstice episode when he Aang said "I'm ready" after Roku offered him help, then they merge. Both events were also accompanied by celestial events (ie, the drawing closer of the Physical and Spirit Worlds): the winter solstice and the full moon/blood moon/lunar eclipse.
@@Gojo_the_honored_rat, he was given the choice, but it was assisted by spirits, not unlike actually tapping into it unassisted. The next episode, which I assume isn't a spoiler for this reactor anymore, has Aang say "I'm trying! I'm trying!" when Katara was threatened. He was willing, but he didn't enter into it willingly. It was due to intense emotions, we've only seen him in the Avatar State like this and when a spirit channels itself through. That's like Aang's entire arc, mastering the Avatar State, tapping into it at will. This ain't it, chief.

Glad to see ya back man, missed ya tbh but it’s been a rough few years for everyone so everyone understands (also the general didn’t just “die” it’s worse, he got dragged into the spirit world to get jumped by the water spirit and moon spirit possibly forever)
