Well I do not like the finale at all Who came with the idea to destroy the magic Those who made that (aside Nancy) should be very ashamed for what they did to most of fans They should be send to trial of the fans and send to jail forever ( just kidding ) Star was even more worse She didn’t t care what s going to happen with his friends and family And she run through the portal and try to get to Marco But that only unified earth and Mewni And they got their happy ending I mean everybody have it Right? Right?! There is actually this Percy Jackson fanfiction where the author pulls a "destroy everything that made the world special" in the ending, but actually made it feel conclusive, epic, and tragic, but necessary. Basically, a fanfic writer wrote a better version of what the writers tried doing for this show.
Something I feel like everyone’s needs to take away from this, is that you really shouldn’t pander to your fans. I have seen shows where they completely change how the story was supposed to go because of fans and it has always ended poorly. Series like Supernatural, Riverdale, Pretty Little Liars, or even Game of Thrones are the biggest offenders of this. The writers completely sacrificed storytelling just to keep their fans engaged by giving into the nonsensical theories and terrible plot lines.
Giving your fans what they want is good but you need to balance it out remembering that your the person writing and making this and its still your creation. Its fine to say no or do what you want
I hate this show. I liked it in season 1 and Toffee was one of my favorite Disney TV antagonists then everyone became a fucking asshole and Nachos… I stopped watching after I realized Nachos was left behind. No dog like creature left behind
Season 3 was a recoverable pit that felt something was a tiny bit off, but you could at least tell was some consistency there, Season 4 on the other hand was just...the crew was just tired of the show, and wanted it to just end with star and marco together, since apparently all doesn't matter except these two and their love life.
I was rewatching the show again and I just realize miniloveburg (dont know how to spell her name ) appears at 12:31 looking at the left eye on the bottom left
I cant stand Connie after her being upset with Steven after he gave himself up to Homeworld to protect the people he loves including Connie she should of been more greatfull to Steven everyone else was, and on top of that she took Lion who belongs to Steven. If I were Steven I would still be mad at Connie and I would probably never want to see her agane.
There were 3 timelines of Ships that one of them should've happened. Marco stays with Jackie, but the Blood Moon Curse was in effect for their entire relationship so they would have to fix that. Marco stays with Kelly, which is what I thought was gonna happen until being told the Off-Screen break-up Or Marco gets with Tom after both guys MUTUALLY break up with their girls, so that no one gets messed up. And then Star can find someone else, maybe Janna, idk Secret Option 4: Marco somehow gets with Hekapoo and becomes an immortal being and GETS TO KEEP NACHOS
And also, you guys have to watch the live action ones plus this is why we need like more back stories like what is happening to Jimmy like in the future whenever Timmy Turner’s like an adult plus it would totally be cool because then maybe he could like go back in the future or something and then maybe they could be like best friends forever again plus there were different theories about that stuff too like how the whole GrubHub thing was like connected to the Jimmy neutron thing, but just more theories again plus I do like that car commercial
PS you guys should definitely think about also doing a funny things reaction the musical video plus you should also think about doing other musical videos like a very special song and the wacky world song plus digital land I know that’s another good one too and you should also think about watching the pilot episode of the amazing Digital Circus just for the fun of it though
PS I didn’t know they made two others. I only knew about this one a long time ago like when I was like probably six. Or like a long time ago like that’s how old it is. Plus, it’s been a long time since I’ve watched the other two as well.
marco saying he had intense feelings for star since the beginning confused me so hard because he was trying to date jackie that whole time, and didn’t show any signs of liking star until season 3… also when was the “beginning”for him????
I finished the show yesterday and agree with your points. I think its a sign how much we love the show that we get so worked up about it. The whole Starco shipping thing got really agonizing for me at the start of season 3. This whole unreciprocated love thing, seeing someone you love be with someone else, it brought up old feelings of mine from a similar story of my life. And it hurt for me to watch, to the point where i became obsessed with Star and Marco finally getting together. Before Season 3 their relationship felt really natural and it could have gone romantic in a natural way. But it felt like the writers came up with BS reasons why they cant be together for 2 Seasons! At the start, Tom and Star getting back together felt way to rushed, considering what a complete dick Tom was until that point. It seemed like a writers tool to make Marco (and me) suffer and create tension. As the story progressed and Tom became more likeable, it made sense, but still didnt feel right to me. Thats why most of season 3 and 4 i just wanted the tension between Star and Marco get released by finally ending up together. That really ruined their charming chemistry for me. But at least i felt relieved, when it finally happened. But from a rational point of view, youre right that it was way to rushed. They wasted a lot of time in between. Because of the relieve i felt i didnt bother about the ending that much. The starco thing got way too much in the center for me. But youre right about everything you said about it. I think the writers didnt realize how much they would destroy everything they created by making Star destroy Magic. If they try to continue the story at some point, i think they will run into a lot of problems. I dont mind if no one is reading this, but if someone did, thank you. I just needed to get this stuff off my chest because it affected me so much emotionally. And im a bit embarassed to admit to my friends that i got so obesessed with the relationship of two teenage cartoon characters. It always helps me to write about this stuff when i cant talk about it. Well, one area of this review that aged poorly is mentioning that the only part of the Doop Doop scene that made it LESS uncomfortable was Doop Doop being voiced by Justin Roiland...
as someone who recently finished the series to me the ending was good not the best but not the worst, they got marco and star together "coulda done it in a better way" the dimensions mixed all in all to me it wasnt bad but thats just me "also tomco is the peak bromance"
If Star had been enrolled in a school in Mexico, no doubt all the boys would fall in love with her, but in the end Star would scare them with her magic and summoning monsters. In Mexico it is not common to have blonde and blue-eyed women.
