One of the plot threads left unresolved by Nickelodeon's excellent animated series Avatar the Last Airbender was What Happened to Zuko's Mother? Where she was from, where she was hiding, and why she left Zuko and Azula early in their lives were questions eventually addressed in The Search, a graphic novel released by Dark Horse in 2013. I wish that Nickelodeon had made the search into a series instead of legend of korra I mean it’s a good series but would’ve been nicer considering they left the last air bender on a cliffhanger

This is no joke. I think you should give My Little Pony Friendship is Magic a look. The Worldbuilding in that show is surprisingly deep. The Apple family in particular has a beautiful story in it that feels very similar to Ursa's.
