Hey! We're Ghastly Town a young and ambicious Metal/Rock band! It would mean a lot to us if you could listen to our music. And if you like it, subscribe, support us, spread the word and stay with us cuz this family is stronger if you're in it! \m/
mine was friendster but i still have my myspace account from back then that i used to watch and collow a7x till this day everytime i watch their videos i cry lol rev where are you right now? lol
i don' mean to brag , but ive been a fan of a7x since 2005 and i just really respect The Rev and all of Avenged Sevenfold, they inspired me to start a band with my friends and make music... R.I.P. Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan.
Anyone else want to see a full length movie of their early years when they were still in high school and show them progress from a small time band to where they are now? The movie can end with the release of the nightmare album and as the screen goes black the credits roll with a song off of the nightmare album (preferably So Far Away or Fiction)
Watching this today on James Owen the Rev Sullivan's 37th birthday. I love this band with all of my heart, and they have impacted me more than any other band. I love them foREVer. My St. James is watching over all of us deathbats.
Matt: “there’s the basketball gym where I used to play…” The Rev: “…me too, until the kicked me off the team…” The dude just had amazing timing whether playing drums or telling jokes. Had me cracking up =)
I miss Jimmy so much but his little rap is what wakes me up everyday. I'm keeping that little piece of him with me always. I love you Jimmy, keep my beers cold.
0:45 Jimmy is So respectful to Lars Ulrich. Shows how Much Passions Jimmy had to his idols and there music let alone his own. he will be missed so Much :'[ R.I.P JIMMY SULLIVAN!! foREVer!
Would've been great to be alive back then. There were so many people who were into the heavy stuff and could actually play it. As it is, I still can't find a bassist, drummer or another guitarist.
My brother and I are starting a band called Auditory Astronomy. I'm the drummer and he's the singer and we just need a guitarists and a bassist but he's putting posters up at our high school
Rat Head My great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandson, Jeffrey
The Rev will forever be missed. Just remember that the next time there is a thunder storm, instead of thunder that you may be hearing, it could be The Rev practicing his drums
just imagine you're metallica fan since you're about 8 or 9 years old... listening to them and dreaming to be like them... years later you play before their show and perform with them one song... this hast to be AWESOME! O.O They had to be excited like hell...!
Could you imagine meeting and performing with one of your biggest idols? Metallica 00:26 Amazing how far Avenged Sevenfold has come. They're not yet titled album that is coming out this year will be just as good if not better than the past albums released. R.I.P The Rev Welcome Arin Ilejay
Shadows sounds like his voice has been strained. Not sure if that's just how he sounds when he's casually talking but it really sounded like his voice was strained.
i like how they are reminisce about "back in the day" and how they are so old now. but it's really only been 13 years, imagine how their parents feel lol.
How many of their songs have you listened to? For example, Critical Acclaim and So Far Away, Second Heartbeat and Fiction, these songs are very different from each other. Lots of their songs go into different depths of genres. One song you get simple riffs and song structures, the next one you get very upbeat and fast stuff, then we move on over to acoustic guitars and piano music. Whether you think they are metal or not, they are in fact a very versatile band and that's why people like them.
just watching all of these videos and stuff of them and the rev makes me sad.. The Rev was too young to die, he shouldnt have died. he is dearly missed.. WE LOVE YOU JIMMY
"This is Orange County, you're not going to find it in Florida, you're not gonna find it in Japan." Well, last time I checked there was a Orange County in Florida.
Actually The Rev wrote most of the songs on Nightmare, he wrote Nightmare, Fiction, Victim, Save Me, and others. And the whole album might not be that same sound but it's still gotta be pretty similar. It just won't compete.
I have seen the interview where M shadows talks about carry on. That is not the sound they went for on this next album. The only reason carry on was the way it was, was because Treyarch wanted something uplifting at the end on black ops 2. Not only that but they had only a few weeks to come up with it.
They were happy and funny , but since the rev passed away they turn more like ah fuck it , just watch at the new vids syn is like :| and the others kind of Half smile , but then you watch this again and you can look those faces with the biggest smiles i've ever seen.
Javi Haner Jr. I know...also they don't make these little funny video clips anymore. Seems like they just write and play their stuff but they don't do funny stuff together anymore, laugh less...
What happened with the Rev's life just goes to show, if you think your life is shitty and hopeless and empty, don't give up. In time, things will perk up if you work at it. And for all you know, you could end up rich and happy in a famous rock band! :P Life can be unpredictable, just roll with it and rock it out :P
@Metal8909 maybe its that avenged sevenfold is opening for metallica, cuz all of us know that metallica has more experience and has been doing this before a7x, and its obvious that metallica is one of the main influences of a7x, and look at the stage, its the st anger artwork, so this must be a metallica show
My source is M. Shadows, look up M. Shadows interview on, I think it was Kerrang radio, I'll double check that and let you know if it's different but I think that's it.
@narutonumber500 No, it's off of a DVD that came out soon after City of Evil called All Excess, it's like a documentary, and it's got some music videos and lives on there too.
