I feel like everyone gets so swept up into the political messages behind the lyrics. This version definitely allows you to feel a lot more appreciation for the instruments.
Instrumental is insane!! But I gotta say that Matts vocals really do make this song. A lot of people seem to prefer the instrumentals which I do get! However, his voice and breath control is phenomenal in my opinion! :)
So I arrived, naked and cold A welcomed change from the abeyance of a ghost town catacomb No need for counsel I appreciate the time I'm not alone (Why don't you get my lawyer on the phone) There were days these child eyes Would overlook the ugliness and fantasize I found my heart for the first time and I awakened in me I left myself to navigate, and oh I felt control (It seems these sheep have quite an appetite) Who is the crowd that peers through the cage, As we perform here upon the stage? As the boy became a man In came a calm sophistication I can hardly understand So lost in ego, didn't notice when the time had slipped away (Yeah, everybody's got a sob story) Jesus Christ, was born to die Leave it to man to levitate his own to idolize We're simply sociopaths with no communication baby I see your angle but we differ from our points of view (So tell me, what's your cross to bear?) Who is the crowd that peers through the cage, As we perform here upon the stage? Tell me a lie in a beautiful way I believe in answers just not today Hope my wheels don't abandon me now, Seeing that I'm out here alone I'm running out of fight And the wind speaks a comforting voice, Guiding me to her arms Mother, I'm alright It took the birth of sin to snake-rattle the mind Before a blow to the head by the gavel of time To wake up Won't you wake up? When did the walking apes decide that nuclear war Was now the only solution for them keeping the score? Just wake up Can't you wake up? Who is the crowd that peers through the cage, As we perform here upon the stage? Tell me a lie in a beautiful way I believe in answers just not today
I don't know if they probably found a track online or something but if you get the acapella and invert the phase on the vocals you can cancel them out in a recording program like Pro Tools or Cubase
Find the acapella online get a recording program like Cubase or Pro Tools line up the acapella with the song and invert the phase and it will cancel out the vocals
the label most likely copyrighted this video cause technically they own the song more than the actual band does. I'm sure if we're up to them it wouldn't be like this
I don't know about the rock band thing but the way Engineers have done it back in the day you will find the acapella line it up with the song in a recording program and invert the phase on the vocals and it will cancel them out
so much better without the lyrics x.x lol im sorry but im not a fan of this album at all. love the band, seen them live like 4 times so far, but this album rly let me down compared to everything else- thankfully they never do the same type of album twice so the next one around should be nothing like this
@@dirtydan9904 splish splash your opinion is TRASH 🤮 between waking the fallen and their self titled album thats when M. Shadows was at his best, nightmare is good too but like I said he ruined his voice and he's worked hard to get it back but on "the stage" his voice wasn't as powerful, it was almost scratchy.
@@joshkidman1616 I like that “scratchy” style, it fits the album’s Prog style more than his City of Evil/Self-Titled voice would have. And I personally don’t think his voice on Waking the Fallen is super good, it was better than Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, but I think he was still working towards that City of Evil voice at that time. His vocals on City of Evil through Hail to the King are all super good, but I just like The Stage the most.
@@joshkidman1616 and thats probably why we haven't had an album since. He's fucked his voice and AX7 is gone and dusted. A real shame, his voice has always been unique.
