I'm really glad with your reaction to Thor in this movie. Most people laugh it out "because fat" and totally dismiss the depression he's going through. The "I'm still worthy" moment is very precious to me. (Edited for typo)
Totally agree, some people got butt hurt when they saw him & that Disney were using him for fat jokes. But this is what depression can look like, physically & mentally, Good on CHris Hemsworth for embracing the character the way he did 💚
@@ochayethenoo just some keyboard neckbeards on Reddit, but they obviously didn't understand where the character development was coming from or experienced anything like it themselves.
Can I just say, I love that your immediate reaction to seeing Fat Thor for the first time was sympathy and understanding of everything he’d been through (rather than laughter). It was so kind and sweet, and you even defended him when Rocket made a quip about his weight gain. Wish more people had your mindset! ❤
If I'm not mistaken it's because Ash was diagnosed with depression. It's only starting this channel and the responses to it that have really helped her.
@@СайтаменNot really? Like, there are fat jokes, sure. But when you think about it, people would 100% make those jokes regardless. This movie does a realistic depiction of Depression and an unhealthy way to deal with it.
Seeing this film in the theater on premiere was one of the best movie going experiences ever. A packed theater where everyone cheered and cried together!
Fun fact: when Thor summoned Mjolnir in the past, the first draft had him turning back into ripped Thor instead of Lebowsky Thor. The directors wanted that, the writer wanted that. Chris Hemsworth didn't want that. He felt that Thor had to work through his grief to become his old self again. It hadto be earned instead of handed down by magic. God, it's easy to understimate him, but he's a nice, inteligent and talented guy, and the MCU is incredbly better because of him.
Ashleigh predicts the Back to the Future reference and instantly becomes Captain America from the first Avengers movie: "I do! I understood that reference."
I dunno what hits more - Ashleigh really getting Thor’s arc or seeing anger and denial phases of grief in real time for Nat. Only point where I differ is Steve seeing Peggy through the glass was and is a big cry moment for me.
Thor really needed that “im still worthy” moment after Thanos fucked with his head by telling him HE was the reason that the avengers failed-“you should’ve gone for the head”
If I'm not mistaken it's because Ash was diagnosed with depression. It's only starting this channel and the responses to it that have really helped her.
I'm really glad that she understood it and didn't just see it as a fat joke like I've seen in so many of the other reactions. I've had depression for over 2/3s of my life, and while I can't say I've been in the same place Thor is in this part of the movie, I know how bad it can get.
@@GlamprinceRockking While I don't wholly disagree with your comment, I do have to say that many who don't get it aren't always feeble-minded, but they just don't get it because they've never had to deal with depression before.
Endgame in the theater opening night Thursday was crazy, I missed getting tickets but they started opening up more times and I snagged a couple of tickets in a smaller room in the multiplex. I get there and every screen is showing endgame at the same time, parking lot that the busiest I saw was at 30-40% was almost completely full, had to park a 5 minute walk from the door. No spoilers had leaked, there were so many moments with the entire theater gasping out loud. Everyone was hooked from the first minute, just the best movie going experience I ever had.
Same thing happened with us. they opened 6 more showings that night and I was right there and got tickets for my brother and his 4 little kids. The IMAX was like a football game when people cheered. The 6 of us got home at 3am and it was awesome.
You got lucky. I got a spoiler in spite of trying to avoid them at all costs. I couldn't go to the midnight premiere, so I wound up going late the next evening and I heard a line and it still pisses me off that people couldn't keep their mouths shut. I mean geez, can't you at least give it 24 hours?

A lot of people giggled in the theater when Fat Thor showed up. My wife and I, who recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms (we're in therapy for out own) both looked and said, "Oh Sweetie, no . . . "
Jarvis was the Stark Family butler in the comics. The person playing him is the same actor that played him in the Agent Carter TV series. Howard Stark was played by a different actor in that series, so Endgame was the first time those actors were seen on screen together. Good series, you might like it
Agent carter was OKAY, but it had nothing on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., though. That's why it didn't last that long. It wasn't as great as MCU was hoping for. They really wanted to have this big Cinema and TV universe all blended together and it started okay-ish. But then Disney started sniffing the $$$ and well, the rest as they say is history.
@@LOTRFAN33 Paul Bettany plays J.A.R.V.I.S. and Vision. James D'Arcy plays Jarvis. Jarvis is the human we see in this movie and Agent Carter, J.A.R.V.I.S. is an A.I.
So it begins… I’ve eagerly been waiting for this day to come. Endgame is essentially a love letter to the MCU fans who have stuck it out and watched everything up until then. Love you 3000!
I haven't looked through the comments yet, but I'm sure someone has pointed out that the guy telling the story about his date in the support group is Joe Russo, one of the directors. But most people overlook - and you didn't include him here - that the guy who asks him when he cried is Jim Starlin, who created Thanos (and Drax and Gamora, and wrote the story - The Infinity Gauntlet - that everything Thanos-related in the movies draws inspiration from).
Next time I see Starlin at a convention I'll have to mention I was one those people who called the 900 line to vote to kill Robin. He was the editor of Batman at the time when they were having internal arguments on if Robin should even be around in Batman.
“What if I don’t cry?“ Aww, Ashley is so cute, isn’t she? Let us also remember that sometimes when Ashley is angry, she’s holding back angry tears. Rationalizing the use of the stones against overpopulation and suffering, compared to trying to score some booty, as was the case in the comics, probably made for a better movie. Maybe. “I love you three thousand.” “That’s cute.” (Makes mark in notes.)
> "Rationalizing the use of the stones against overpopulation and suffering, compared to trying to score some booty, as was the case in the comics, probably made for a better movie. Maybe." It didn't. it just made zero sense with even a cursory thought and made me believe Thanos, the people who think he's an amazing character or that this movie was narratively interesting, or actually think he is right, are Grade A Stoopid. Marvel movies are entertaining, leave your brain at the door blockbusters, sure, but Infinity War/End Game wants to be a 6hr long "I'm 14 and this is deep" epic, and do themselves absolutely no favours.
@@rabid_si What does it make zero sense? You sound like someone who would say "Why doesn't he just double the resources?". There are plenty of moments in our own history to support how Thanos's though process is a natural one. Take any ethnic cleansing or genocide from Germany 1942-45 to Rwanda in the 90's. Heck there are theorists right now that say we are at a population crisis point. And because in the MCU they never introduced Lady Death making Thanos someone who believes this line of thought a way for the audience to emotionally connect with him (either by agreeing with him or hating him).
Stark's anger at Captain America for not being there to fight Thanos was ironic considering that Stark was the one who insisted on going after Thanos with only half the team.
And he's the one who pushed Steve away. Steve even gave him a cellphone to call him if shit goes down and they need help in civil war. Be he NEVER uses it, they only find out shit is happening because Wanda didn't check in and they went to go find her.
Something not a lot of people put together is the scene where Steve Rogers steals the Pim Particles from the past. In Ant-Man 1, when Scott Lang suggests getting the Avengers involved, Hank stops him and explains that he can't stand the Starks after Howard stole his research so many decades prior. The incident that developed Hank's mistrust of the Starks was Steve stealing the Pim Particles from his post war lab.
hold it, you forget that changing the past doesn't change the present. It creates diverging world lines/alternate universes instead. So the 616 Avengers' time travel cannot affect the past of the 616 universe. Of course, that does not exclude the possibility of an Alternate Avengers team following a similar course of events from time travelling to the past of the 616 universe...
In the book, he was in love with the actual character death. He even murdered his mother when he was born. Death gave him the mission to wipe out half of all life. He collected the infinity "gems" to complete that mission
I prefer Lady Death motivation over the Malthusian nonsense used here. If I want nonsense like that I'll just listen to the psychopaths in the real world.
So happy to see this reaction! Can't wait for part 2! I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out, but from what I've heard... it was originally supposed to be Hawkeye who sacrifices himself, but one of the visual effects producers (Jen Underdahl) saw the script and told them "Don't you take this away from her" and they changed it.
Just a quick comment about Hawkeye. In the comics, there's a point where he changes his identity to "Ronin" and that's what you were seeing in Tokyo. The look is pretty much dead on to the books.
During that time period we also got a flashback to Hawkeye’s early days as an Avenger. Spider-Man asks Clint how he got so danged good at martial arts. Hawkeye looks at him and replies with complete humility and respect “Captain America” He explains that Captain America was acting as a drill instructor/hand to hand combat teacher when hie, Pietro and Wanda first joined. In the flashback Cap is explaining that even if an Avenger has super powers or special equipment they should still be able to fight bare handed. We see Hawkeye being a smart aleck to Cap and saying he doesn’t need to learn to fight as long as he has his bow and arrows. Cap asks to see Hawkeye’s bow, he complements its great craftsmanship and asks did he make it himself. After Clint affirms that he makes his own bows, Cap snaps it in two right in front of him. Hawkeye is shocked and about to get aggressive. However, Cap takes him down to the mats in about 2 moves. While Hawkeye is kicking and scream, Captain holds him pinned to the floor and essentially tells him “Now this is what’s gonna happen. I’m going to teach you to fight so well that when people come up against you your bow and arrows will be the least of their worries”. Cap taught and Hawkeye learned to the point he could still wreck shop without his bow and arrows. In the MCU of course, his fighting prowess is attributed to being a seasoned SHIELD agent. But from the comics, Hawkeye and several other non powered heroes like Tony Stark or Rick Jones are listed as being trained by Captain America. All of these characters are shown throughout their comic histories in a pinch to be able to handle themselves in a street fight against multiple assailants.
@@technopirate304 just want to quickly doublecheck, but Tony is still canonically powered right now, right? I know the extremis virus seems to come and go, makes for confusing reading sometimes.
I do love Thor calling Mjolnir back to him, because that was exactly the boost he needed. For a guy who lost everything, his people, his parents, his brother, his best friend, and his home, knowing that even at the lowest he's ever been, he was still worthy was a better pick-me-up than anything else could have possibly been.
In the comics, his motivation was that he was in love with the physical embodiment of Death and was trying to get her attention I thought they were going this route because the first time we see Thanos in the end credits of The Avengers he’s told that to challenge the humans is to “court Death” and Thanos smiles
From what I remember involving interviews, when the first Avengers film was released, they had no plans for Thanos. Joss Whedon pushed to have Thanos in the post credits. As such, they didn't really have any direction set in stone for Thanos' motivations at the time.
I was shocked at your surprise at the Jarvis reveal, then remembered that not everyone saw Agent Carter! You've got to watch that, it's amazing, and Jarvis is pretty awesome.
this one was SO MUCH FUN AT THE MOVIES. Everyone was cheering and laughing and clapping, it was awesome, I doubt we will ever have the chance to have an experience like that again as an audience.. ever.
I’m there with you on the doubling resources part. In the comics Thanos wanted to court lady death by being like “look at all the people I killed for you”
I've actually watched the entire movie with a thought to what your reactions were going to be. I really didn't think you'd catch the dust in the air when Barton's family got snapped. Apparently if you listen really close, the sounds of the birds gets quiet at the same moment cause half of them got snapped too.
Of all the unlikely things that happen in this movie, "Thanos pirates 'Avengers: Infinity War' from Nebula's hard drive" was one I definitely never predicted
Since you have started this rabbit hole with the MCU, I have been waiting for this reaction video. It has been an awesome experience watching you with these Marvel films. I personally am so glad you have enjoyed them as much as we have. Happy New Year's to you and yours.
Karen Gillan's greatest regret was that she couldn't work "Doctor Who" into the list of movies and shows they based their knowledge of time travel on, but Nebula was one of the people who knew how time travel works (it's what I call the New Star Trek model: change the past, and it causes a new branch of history to emerge). Then again, how awesome is it that the person who played Amelia Freaking Pond for three seasons on Doctor Who also plays one of the people who knows how time travel works? (Almost tempted to become a backer and see if I can make some sort of screwy request to watch, I don't know, the Doctor Who Christmas Specials or something. Just so you get an idea of where Karen Gillan started out.)
When I was watching the movie, I was begging for them to mention Doctor Who when they were rattling off the list of time travel things! Nebula was standing right there, it would have been perfect.
I saw Endgame 4 times in theaters and every experience I had watching it was unreal and unforgettable, many say Infinity War is a little better than Endgame and is regarded as the best MCU film and I do agree with them and I love Infinity War equally, but Endgame will always be not only my personal favorite MCU film but one of my all time favorite movies. Can't wait for Part 2! I Love You 3000!
"Banner that's going to ruin everything" No, when he said that Dr. Strange just up and gave the stone to Thanos, The Ancient One realized that Dr. Strange must have known something. She trusted that he knew what he was doing.
Real reason Thanos did it: because he wants to. He's deluded himself into thinking killing trillions of people will save the rest, when most of those alive don't need saving and those dying didn't need killing. He's fixated on thinking that because this is such a tough task and because he's 'special' he can succeed where others failed or lacked the will or vision to do it. His own examples of success aren't established as being genuinely objectively successes (like Gamorahs planet) but she doesn't grant thar he actually succeeded. And the real proof of the pudding is that when he's confronted about the fact no one is grateful he did it in THIS movie, he doesn't reassess, he instead concludes the entire universe therefore doesn't deserve to live. He's just playing God... it's that simple.
And the bigger truth is the universe is infinite, therefore the resources are infinite. What needed to happen was each inhabited planet needed the means to travel to where resources abounded. I like what was said in Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy... Something along the lines of the universe being infinite, even if 100 trillion planets had 100 trillion beings on them, compared to infinity the population of the universe is effectively zero.
AT LAST you've made it to this one. This is the best Avengers movie in my opinion...by a mile and the 2nd best MCU overall... You shouldn't have to defend your questioning Thanos but thanks for explaining it clearly (also the people that aren't memeing Thanos did nothing wrong are O_O ). Also I agree with you on the resource thing. The glasses man in the support group Cap ran is one of the directors of the movie, Joe Russo. He's made a cameo in Winter Soldier, Civil War and Endgame. The bald man in the support group was the creator of the Thanos character, Jim Starlin. Thor's mother knows her fate to a degree. She sees with more than just eyes after all. She was purposely avoiding Thor telling her. It's not just supposed to be a young Stan Lee, it actually is Stan Lee de-aged with CGI. They filmed several of his last cameos just before his death and Endgame turned out to be his last official one although Captain Marvel had the Stan Lee tribute because he died before that one was released. I always think the young Hank looks like Steve Perry (the lead singer of Journey for most of their major hits). In the comics Jarvis was Tony's actual butler too and later served as the Avengers butler. He wasn't AI until the movies came out. You caught the sacrifice thing WAY earlier than most people do. That's AWESOME! Love it. Originally black widows sacrifice occurred during a battle with thanos army on that cliff. it was more intense but lacked the emotional punch. Knowing that part 2 is so much better I am on pins and needles waiting for it. Nice preview for it.
This is the reaction that everyone has been dying to see from you, for a year. Thank you so much, and looking forward to part 2. And yes, that was definitely a young Stan Lee. He was digitally de-aged, and to my knowledge this was his final film appearance.
Yeah, the group of cameos they filmed at one time (IW, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel and Endgame) due to his advanced age and health issues ended with Endgame. They decided to not digitally insert him in any more films as well.
We as your fans put so much pressure on you, and you don't deserve that. You deserve to enjoy this experience! I hope you can still have fun with it even in the midst of us being fanatics!! 🥰
The emotions of the Avengers are representing the Stages of Grief. Firstly, Denial, shown by Thor, who can’t get over all the death and ignores it, choosing to give up at New Asgard. Anger, with The Hulk throwing the bench. Bruce Banner later found peace by combining both his personalities. Next comes Bargaining, with Clint wishing it had been him, and Natasha, trying to come up with ideas of reversing the snap. Depression, shown by Steve Rogers, who’s forced himself into group therapy, destroyed by the death of his friends. Finally, there’s Acceptance, with Tony Stark. He’s moving on, creating new technologies, looking forward towards the future. He has a family now, and they have become his new life.
I teared up at nebula and tony's interactions, from guardians 2 she made peace and became sisters with gamora. And here when she's pitted against tony in a game/contest which from her knowledge everytime she went against gamora and lost she would lose a part of herself and get replaced, so when she wins, you can see a whole set of emotions and her coming to realize it's a game and it's okay to win and lose.
For REAL for real, Ash. There's always a price for the soul stone. ALWAYS. You saw in Infinity War what it took to get all six. You saw what happened to Gamora. I watched Endgame in theaters dreading what was coming. Sitting next to my brother, when they figured out their TIME HEIST, I got a little sick and said to my bro: "One of them's not coming back. Whatever team has to go after the soul stone--one of them is not coming back --AND THEY HAVE NO CLUE." I started crying as soon as I saw that it was Nat and Clint paired up to go after it. That was so unfair. I knew they were gonna each try and protect the other. Even prepared for it-- I just knew whichever one it was...it would break my heart.
Everyone laughs at fat Thor but everyone forgets, his family and friends didn’t die in the snap, he watched it all happen in front of him. It takes their toll on a person, even someone as strong as Thor. People deal with depression in many ways, our mans coping mechanism was food and alcohol.
His weight gain and depression makes perfect sense, it's just that the MCU constantly reverts his character development to being a man child. Even historical accurate mythological Thor is a bit stubby and could have played it off with proper writing but they needed to draw out a joke for way too long and the get buff Thor to be shirtless for the lady fans again.
It's WORSE for someone like Thor whose physical strength has always been a crutch for emotional strength. Now when physical strength can't help, his emotions are underdeveloped and he falls into depression and being a man-child.
@@jessecortez9449 Yup. It's why I don't really mind Endgame Thor in general because he's in full on grief. His little thing with Corg and the video game is just kinda cheap humor, but it's whatever. Love and Thunder, though... ugh... that's the true ruining of the character.
@@MST3Killa I can't remember if it's in an interview or behind the scenes clip but it was Hemsworth himself that pushed for fat, depressed Thor because he knew it made sense and wanted to show the low point of the character that he genuinely respects and loves. And the Russo's fully supported it since they love the characters as well. In Thor Love and Thunder, Taika Waititi doesn't care about the source material at all. He's openly said that in interviews. It's obvious with how he treated Thor and Hemsworth has basically said he doesn't want to work with him again because he was just a smug prick about everything during filming. It's so disappointing considering what can be accomplished with actors and directors that have genuine respect and love for characters and their stories.
Another awesome vid! I still love the Thor back on Asgard bit as it was filmed (with greenscreen around it) in Durham Cathedral about 15 mins drive from me :) (the best cathedral in the world ever, with links to my home town too). Plus my family tree gets me as far back as the Kings of Wessex in England, of whom added the Norse pantheon to THEIR ancestry, to justify being Kings, making Odin my 53rd great grandad, and Thor my 53rd great uncle ;) (Odin’s first son, Baldr is in my tree as 52nd great grandad). Thing is I have no magic hammer, not even an enchanted wrench lol
EndGame was the best theatre experience I've ever had :) Day before early showing. FULL THEATRE. And al of us laughing crying and cheering together :) 💗💗💗💗 Can't wait to see this! :)
I am so happy that I’ve been able to watch all these different Marvel films in theaters & then found someone new online who had never seen them because it was like I could experience them through someone else for the first time, if that makes any sense. I’ve watched the shows, the cartoons & read quite a few of the comics so stumbling on an absolute gem like Ashleigh Burton has been a real treat. I’ve even got my older brother watching these. In these times where things aren’t always going the way they should, it’s refreshing just to sit back & watch one of my favorite RU-vid Queens be shocked & awed by things I’ve already experienced & let my cafes melt away. I just love this. Also, I’m very excited to see Ashleigh watch “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. She’s gonna be all over the place with that movie 🤣 💜💙❤️🧡💚💛
When this movie came out, my daughter was about the same age as Morgan Stark and my relationship with her was very similar so I was in all the tears during this movie. And I suspect you're going to be like "who is that?" In the final scene, they brought back the kid from Iron man 3
I'd forgotten about the kid long before this movie came out, and even though people talked about him in reviews / reactions / whatever for a bit after this movie came out I've forgotten again who the **** he's supposed to be or why he was a relevant character to bring back. EDIT: Looked it up. Man I need to rewatch some of these movies. I do not remember that part of that movie at all.
Watching this movie on opening night was just incredible. Interacting with the audience and feeling all the feels with them was a very intense and amazing movie experience. This was before COVID, so we're thankful for that! I was a big ball of tears and emotions during this one. It was A LOT. Can't wait to see part 2 of your reaction! :)
I wonder why people didn't like Captain Marvel? Captain Marvel - He hasn't faced me. Oh yeah, that's why. There is cocky and then there is arrogant to the level of absurdity. Yeah, the Avengers didn't have Cap Marvel. They did have Vision, Wanda, Dr Strange, Spiderman, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Bucky, Black Panther, Shuri, Falcon and The entire Wakandan Army. You better than that Captain Marvel? Coz I'd place my bet on Wanda to kick her ass single handed. Same for Doctor Strange.
People *always* try to blame it on "misogyny" or something, rather than finding the character or writing for the character obnoxious. I've ran into more than a few comments in this comment section saying that. It's just become to go-to excuse now instead of listening to why people actually don't like something, along with other buzzwords.
Fun fact, it was supposed to be part of the Infinity War ending, but they decided to move it to the start of Endgame because he hadn't been around the entire film and figured it would make a more impactful cold open instead of being part of the montage.
In the comics, a human Jarvis was first the Stark family butler, but became the Avengers' butler too! They lived in a mansion right in Manhattan and the members who didn't have homes lived there too. In the MCU he started working for them in the 40's, and was with Tony after his parents died (like Alfred with Bruce Wayne). The MCU version dies earlier and Tony names his AI "butler" in his honor.
At 12:48 when Rhodey tells Natasha, "It's definitely Barton." He's talking about Hawkeye. I think you confused it with Banner because you asked if he found his Hulk again
I would think that when Thanos snapped his fingers, and all of life ashed out, that would include half of the animals and plants that we use as food sources. It seems like most people don't think of that.
"What if I don't cry?" Oh, honey. 😂😭 We've already seen and reacted to this, many of us in the theater (oh my god the trauma...). We've already seen you react to past movies. You crying is... inevitable. Your reactions always reinforce why you're a favorite. You're one of the few people who didn't react to Thor's reveal as "ha ha fat = funny", and your compassion for the characters throughout is really so in line with the kind heart you display in all your reviews. Happy New Year to you, thanks for sharing your movie going experiences with us, despite the grief you get from people for the dumbest of things. I'm really looking forward to part 2 of this and I hope your 2023 is an amazing one. 🙂
This was the greatest movie experience I've ever had. It was better than Jurassic Park, The Star Wars prequels, etc. Every single screen in my theater was showing this and there wasn't even any parking spots available. I went to a Friday showing at 7 in the morning and the lines were out of the building. Then once you got food you had to wait in line just to get into the theater itself. It was crazy, hectic, frustrating...and awesome. Everyone in line was basically a Marvel nerd at that point so the stranger in front or behind you was basically like a friend you just hadn't met yet and you already shared this common interest. I don't think there will ever be another experience like this because it was literally in the works since the 1st MCU movie and everyone invested years and years of their lives for that moment.
I’ve been waiting for this moment for - so long! - i’m pretty proud of myself that I start crying 10 seconds before you do, as opposed to two minutes before you do, because I know what’s about to happen, and I don’t want to miss your reaction.
A great end to the Marvel Marathon, they really pulled out all the stops for this last one. The first few minutes with Hawkeye losing his whole family really sets the tone. Absolute heartwringer 💔
I also love the time travel suits not just because they look awesome but because they're 100% CGI! it was a cheaper and safer investment to just make them that way rather than craft a whole bunch of costumes for so many different characters in one production. it's the first time I think I've ever completely mistaken CG for reality and didn't know it until after watching the movie and reading up on the production.
Your idea about snapping to make more resources is not uncommon. The thing to remember though is that Thanos was on this mission long before he heard of the infinity stones. He had the idea to "save" his planet by eliminating half the population. He didn't then have the ability to make there be more resources (at least not enough). So he set out to prove he was right, by going planet to planet and killing half the population with guns and other weapons. Because he didn't have a gun that could make more resources. This was his mission to kill half the universe, planet by planet. THEN he heard about the Infinity Stones and saw it as a way to fulfil his mission easier. Not to change his mission, but a tool for the mission he already had. And much of it is ego in that he has to prove that he was right all along, and that leaves him laser focused on the mission he was already on, rather than changing his mind and coming up with another mission. He didn't even think about what else he could do with the stones instead as he ONLY saw them as a tool to complete the mission he'd already been on for ages.
"FLICK ME" is one of the sentences you couldn't write in Comics Code Authority approved comics. That's because lettering in comics was all uppercase and the printing was often done on cheap paper where the inks would bleed a little. If that L and I should happen to join... I like to think Ant Man saying "Flick me" is a subtle nod to that.
With its 30th Anniversary fast approaching, I suggest you watch "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey". It's a heartwarming tale that someone who loves her cat as much as, if not more than, her husband would certainly enjoy.
Ashley, my sister and I are huge fans of all your reviews and when we don’t watch them together we all have a long discussion about how much we love you. With this in mind it is only polite to invite you to England to come for dinner, drinks and of course a trip to the movies. You know you want to! Laura and Jenni, Hampshire, UK
Some people don't like Captain Marvel because Brie Larson had an opinion once. Those same people didn't like the scene in Endgame when all the female Avengers gather together (even though it got huge applause in the theater when I saw it). Go figure.
It was both a little cringy, and very hypocritical considering how little Marvel had clearly really cared throughout the entire series about the female members. I was sat next to mostly women in the cinema, and they all looked disgusted at such a laughable scene.
@@wyterabitt2149 sounds like you had a really cynical audience. In a packed theater it got almost as big and positive of a response as Cap picking up Thor's hammer.
@@richardb6260 Well, *your* packed audience I suppose. And very few people are like "ugh women superheroes all suck i don't want them in any movies" as everyone seems to make it out to be. It's more like.. the entire point doesn't have to be just that they're women. It doesn't always have to be such a huge deal and always be the main thing they talk about in interviews. Many women superheroes are very popular *already* so there's no need to go on and on about it and try to blame "misogyny" or something if your movie or series just isn't that great for reasons like the writing. It's not just men that find that annoying.
So a couple of fun facts amongst many here. 1. The Hawkeye and family scene at the beginning was supposed to close out Infinity War or be and after credits scene but they decided at the last minute to save it for Endgame. 2. The time travel suits design wasn't finalized until VERY last into post production so all the scenes with them in those super cool suits, they are 100% CGI.
@@stalefurset9444 I don't agree though. I remember when everyone was talking crap about her online but there was never any evidence that she had done anything wrong or was a bad person. It's just trolls who were sad on Twitter, causing nonsense. I've read interviews with people who know her who say great things about her. Plus she's a huge nerd. I just think a lot of people jump onboard whatever Instagram is saying and don't actually look at who they are talking about.
*Delightful reaction!* At the start you asked about doubling resources. My guess is, it is less destructive to say, _"remove half of all life,"_ than it is to suddenly double resources. Some worlds are not yet at the point where the resources are depleted. So those worlds would have a problem if suddenly everything doubled. How would it even fit? 🤷🏼♂️ And if we are talking about _the entire universe,_ *Thanosface* can't possibly keep all the variables in his head when snapping. Best (for his purpose) to simply _remove half of all life._ Boom. Done. That's my take anyhow. Doubtless there are others. Can't wait for part 2! _Woo-hoo!_ 🙋🏼♂️
Either way it only puts the problem 2 generations off (about 50 years for humans). And doubling the resources will make the eventual collapse worse. And in his pre-snap statements, Thanos *explicitly* exempted himself from the snap making him even more evil (however, even if he had included himself in the chance or included himself absolutely then it would still be evil... so just a question of degree). There is no simple answer. A very sophisticated answer of lowering reproduction at some percentage of total carrying ability might be better (for example, only able to reproduce 1:2 when the total population was above 1 billion* on earth). * 2 billion isn't bad. Above 2 billion the earth started degrading in various ways.
This scene with Farmer Thanos is supposed to show that for HIM sometime has passed since he snapped his fingers and that he's nowhere even close to the force of nature he was before. It is WHY they just own him so easily. He's stopped being a conqueror and a warrior right down to his soul. He doesn't have it IN him anymore.
Loved your reaction video. Waiting for your part 2 reaction is what it was like, when waiting for Avengers Endgame to hit theatres. Simply can't wait! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy New Year!😃
26:30 "Flick me" is something of an in-joke. Comics used to be unable to use the word "flick" because the letters "LI" had a tendency to clump together and look like a "U". So comics couldn't have people getting stabbed with a "flick-knife" or have anyone "flick" ant-man so hard he flies across the room ... or at least, they coudn't talk about it. So when ant-man *presents his ass* and says "flick me", I'm pretty sure the writers knew exactly what they were doing.
