"He's fast and She's weird" was also the exact description given in the Incredibles movie when the kids were being described after another longer more technical description wasn't understood.

41:19 “Why’d they cut him off?” It’s a line well known to a lot of comic fans that he says, “Avengers, Assemble!” So it was like an Easter egg for him to say the line but not letting him finish was more of a joke for those “in the know”.

James Spader voicing Ultron absolutely hits the mark perfect. Ultrons mannerisms and speech pattern evolving as he learn about everything from finances to pop culture and especially his sarcasm increasing is so convincing of a learning and evolving android. "I wanted to take this time to explain my evil plan" or laughing with a tone of disgust at the rightousness of Captain america. James Spader NAILS it!

Quick cameo you might not have noticed. When the Helicarrier shows up to rescue the civilians...the bridge crew has Fury, Hill and the Helicarrier Launch tech from Captain America and the Winter Soldier. The one who, with a gun to his head, refused to launch the Hydra-carriers. I always liked that they brought him back.

The big suit of armor that Tony summons to fight Hulk is called the Hulkbuster armor. Tony codenames it "Veronica" as a reference to Archie Comics. In Archie Comics, the main character Archie has two competing love interests named Betty and Veronica. If you recall from the Hulk movie, Bruce has a girlfriend named Betty Ross. So Bruce's "other girlfriend" is Hulkbuster, a.k.a. "Veronica."

As I've said on other channels, Wanda is my favorite character. Her (long) story in the MCU is wild and heartfelt, and this film gets it started. Keep watching. You'll see.

in the comics, the tag line for the avengers when they start fighting or gather to meet is: "Avengers Assemble!" so that was a fan shoutout cutting off just before he says it. glad you dig wanda maximoff and her cool red goth clothing. join the club. this film sets up so much to come, can barely talk about it at all without spoiling stuff. these are all characters from the comics, but some of their stories are altered, so us fans didnt know exactly what to expect. i will say that marvel had a good history back in the day of villains becoming heroes. so that was nice to see here as well. I was happy to see Thanos becoming more and more hinted at, as i love that character but more so his creator, Jim Starlin, who back in the 70s was the most "cosmic" of all the marvel creators. he was a writer AND an artist, and his ideas laid the DNA for more of modern marvel than anyone aside from stan lee, and jack kirby.

You're the first reactor to also consider Thor as a sort of "parent" to Vision. Obviously, Banner and Stark did all the computer stuff to make Vision, but now Vision has some of Thors lightning in him, that never occurred to me. Vision is technically the product of 3 different Avengers 😮

Ultron is very underrated in my opinion. I was sad to see him go. Also Wanda had a power spyke when her brother died. So her powers are permanently stronger now.

The Vision's powers are a large set. Super strength, super durable, he can think faster than a human, he can change his density making himself heavier or lighter, phasing (the ability to pass through solid mater), shoot an energy (heat) beam from the mind stone, change his appearance.

Imo Avengers: Age of Ultron is the heart of the whole Marvel franchise; it connects past and future of the MCU so well 'til today!

I remember watching the hulk buster fight in the theater. I thought that fight alone was worth the price of admission

Props to Maria Hill, who even though she was going to a 'We just beat the bad guys' party, at Avengers Tower, knowing that Iron Man, The Hulk, Captian America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Thor, would be there, still decided to come fashionably strapped with a well concealed pistol, cause ya never know. And also an honorable mention to whoever thought they might need a gun strapped under the bar, in case a fight broke out over a game of pool.. in Avengers Tower, between Thor, the Hulk, Iron Man, etc.

Stan Lee actually was a WWII veteran. A lot of the original comic creators left the industry for a few years to go fight. Sadly not all of them came back.

While using violence for peace is an insane concept, Ultron comes about that idea naturally as humans have long used the same idea. There are numerous examples, but I'll just point to the Peacekeeping Missile.

hulk always "runs away" from everyone. He always knows how terrifying he is. Him and Banner have tragic backstories. Yes, he's uber smart and capable to do just about anything but he also knows he has the capability to accidentally kill everyone. He's truly unstoppable. Remember, in #theavengers he tried to "unalive" himself but Hulk wouldn't let banner. He even "runs away" from the woman he loves:(

From the moment my brother started letting me read his comic book collection in the 1970s Vision became not only my favorite Avenger, but my favorite hero. In many ways he is more human than many people. It was so great great that Paul Bettany, the actor who voiced Jarvis, won the role.

You missed the part at the end where Natasha is on facetime with Clint's wife after the baby is born. The baby is wearing a shirt with his full name Nathaniel Pietro Barton, they named the baby after aunt Nat and Pietro since he saved Clintn's life.

In the comics, Ultron wasn't created by Tony Stark, but Ultron is still a menace and a foe of the Avengers. And just like in this movie, it keeps upgrading itself. It's interesting to see how the MCU adapts the stories from the comics. So, for those of us who grew up reading the comics, we can still be amazed by the movies because we don't know how the plot and characters will be changed. The Maximoff twins started out on the wrong side in the comics but joined the Avengers.

Loved this movie that introduced one of my favorite Avengers "The Vision" and the proper meeting of the Maximoff twins (even though they killed off Quicksilver which is not an actual comic book event). Also I read on your Twitch that you refer to yourself as "half girl, half robot, and half ravioli" which can not be, you should in fact be 33 and 1/3 girl, and 33 and 1/3 robot and 33 and 1/3 ravioli making you 100% "Cyborg Chef Boyardee".

'Peace in our time' is also a direct quote from Neville Chamberlain in 1938 (Prime Minister of England). He had just flown back from meetings in Germany with Chancellor Hitler. He was holding aloft in his hand the document of agreement that resolved all of Germany's territorial ambitions in Europe. Thus ensuring 'Peace in our time.' Hopefully anyone who graduated High School knows how that worked out for everyone.

Veronica is what's known as the Hulkbuster in the comics. Tony calls it Veronica because Bruce Banner's girl is Betty. Betty and Veronica were the two love interests of Archie in the Archie comics and later in the CW series.

Emme, if there's anything you need to know about the Hulk, is that his true strength and power is within the comics and his immense strength is far, far, FAR more higher in than what your seeing in the movie. So they still have yet to show that in the MCU. In the comics, they call him the *"strongest one there is"* and for a reason too and again, they still have yet to show that in live-action movies. *KEEP THAT IN MIND!* 💪

I remember everyone hating this movie when it came out. It was certainly controversial with changing Hawkeye's backstory, adding an unpopular Bruce/Nat romance and killing off Quicksilver.

It (Ultron) at the start spirals so fast already because it is an Alien A.I. derived from the Mind stone itself. Yeah, and it gets so fast at learning, that by the 10 second mark, it can already process information faster than Jarvis could. Jarvis thus wanted it to hibernate and cool down a bit, and contact Stark regarding the revelation, but it was too late..

My brother is also not a fan of the Sci-Fi trope of A.I. reaching the point of intelligence/sentience that leads to turning on Humanity. He's also not a proponent of clone dinosaurs (Mammoths are a different story).

"They cut him off". Yes, because the Avengers catchphrase in the comics is "Avengers assemble!". So they're teasing the fans everytime Cap says "Avengers" with a certain tone, and he never ends the sentence (or does it otherwise than "assemble"), it happened a couple of times before even in this movie. Who knows if he will be able to say it complete some day? 😏

Well, the upside of you having put off watching Marvel movies for so long is that we get to share in the experience with you! And it really is just fantastic to see someone with such... a clean slate taking all of it in. Me? I'm an old hand at it. I saw Iron Man in theaters when it came out XD I haven't seen ALL of them in theaters, but I've seen a LOT of them in theaters XD Heck, I went to see Quantumania at a really cool theater (relatively) nearby called IPIC. Super fancy, and it was so nice! At the end of the day, though, whatever happens in the movies, just know you're in good company with all of us, and we're just happy to see you enjoying the ride.

If you think about it, *mindless* AI, which isn't actually conscious and so doesn't 'think' (it just mindlessly processes), and is what we've actually got right now, is *scarier* than AI that can think. Because you can possibly reason with something that thinks.

Fun little fact... ultron in the comics had multiple versions, each one becoming more powerful and evolving as it learned. In the movie they show this by ultron constantly replacing itself. From the first time we see the cripples robot hobbling around singing Pinocchio to when an ultron literally rips apart the ultron that is narrating his own plot. Hes constantly building a newer better version and since he shares the same conscious across his AI his new body just picks up speaking where the last left off.

Once again, brilliant cannon conversion. Like "Hawkeye," "Wanda"(she who will be named "The Scarlett Witch") and "Pietro" (never got a CHANCE to be called "Quick Silver") were bad guys who were converted to heroes. "Cliff" talking "Wanda" down was a brilliant touch.
