If the Avengers do come back in like the final battle, there's a very obvious "Avengers Assemble!" Joke right there and I'm ALL for it.

I just realized that Angra's whole deal could be a reference to Hollow Ataraxia, in which his existence is like a dream. He exists, you know that he exists, yet you cannot remember him after meeting him, like forgetting a dream soon after waking up.

I have a feeling that fgo in its tenth anniversary is going to take a page out of honkai impacts book and just full on overhaul the game, while keeping what made the game "itself" at its core

I think i figured out the in universe reason that Angra Mainyu didn't leave Chaldea. The Mainyu we summon is not the real Angra Mainyu but a peasant who was chosen to be the scapegoat of All the World's Evil. He is an Avenger not because he seeks vengeance on the world or humanity but because Humanity used him to take the place of All the World's Evil. Really with that backstory you would think he would fit more in the pretender class. His actual name was even stricken from the Avesta so he wouldn't be called his human name

I can't envision any other classes opting to dip wholesale. (For a given value of wholesale.) Like, it might be theoretically possibly to convince the Ruler class that opposing Chaldea is in humanity's best interests, but you'd have a split decision there. Excluding class changes... QSH is literally the Lostbelt King, who walked the bleached earth to watch us. Himiko came to join us, not Chaldea, and Iyo followed her. Moon Cancers means BB, who is there for us/to see us suffer, Kiara, who is there for us/to make us suffer, Jinako, who just want to be left to her games, and... Okay, Arcueid's dubiously canon, and could possibly dip. The Alter Egos didn't bail after Papermoon, and they're collectively a ball of self-interest, there to watch us suffer, or both, with one or two outliers. Pretenders... Somewhere between self-interest, and observing us. Foreigners stared down the madness, and are mostly there for us, not humanity as a whole. And Draco has declared that we are her's.

As someone who as all the Avenger servants to date in NA, you can bet I was royally upset they toasted my favorite class. I also subscribe to the "we will meet again in the final battle" idea, at least to soothe my fanfic-making heart. Wait and Hope indeed.

Now that we have got Mahoyo Trio with the FGO collab, the next milestone for FGO is to make U-OlgaMarie playable 5 star Beast!

Fun fact, Angra does actually make an appearance in Ordeal Call 2. I won't spoil the particulars but it's a nice little callback.

Dude I just got Gorgon to show up wdym she's gone? /jk From what I know about Angra the idea that he's the least concerned about being actively vengeful seems arguably fitting. The one we summon was "just a guy" who was unlucky enough to be chosen as a scapegoat and given the role of Angra Mainyu, and subsequently tormented by everyone for the rest of his life. The idea that his main concern is just doing whatever he feels like fits pretty well for the second life of someone who went through that for their first, like the saying "Living well is the best revenge". Getting to live a relatively comfortable life doing mostly whatever he feels like is probably the best life he can live as a servant with the in-built avenger baggage, and it probably would have the people of the village who abused him up in arms if they were around to see it. Given he was supposedly a relatively normal person before being declared the root of all evil, getting to live [an approximation of] the life that was robbed of him might even be one of his wishes.

Angra does himself show up in the Fate/Zero event, he even molests Mashu which is absolutely proof that he was able to interact with Chaldea (and we of course kick his ass afterwards), another thing to note is that he mentions having a command spell collar on him, forcing him to do our bidding whether he wants to or not, which is pretty weird considering we're normally so much about having servants follow us of their own free will, though he does say "I would kill you and have my way with you, maybe even in that order." so it's probably a good idea to keep that on him, in his interlude we also don't recognize him and question whether we even had a servant like him, he also seems tied to Singularity F which has been teased as a future plot point multiple times by now, copies of Angra keep spawning there and Angra himself says "They're not out to do right for the world. They don't want to change the world. Ally they have is a grudge that is burned into their very being...an instinct that compels them to kill humans." implying he himself does want to change the world, that possibly means he's hoping to be able to corrupt or intervene when we restore proper human history, but that's just a theory of mine in general he says some pretty interesting stuff in his interlude, too much to unpack it all in a single youtube comment that's probably going to get buried anyways but one more interesting thing he says: "Those born from hatred speak of love... /and they would show compassion after experiencing cruelty... Those born from love speak of hatred. /Those who experienced happiness meet their end through betrayal. Avengers are usually one of those two. It's just the difference of whether they scorn love, or if they burn with a pure hatred. But what both of them have in common is that they have an attachment to human. Ever hear that the opposite of love is indifference? The moment it clings to humans, it loses all chance at becoming something more than human." implying there's 2 fundamentally different types of Avengers but to us they must seem the same because of the nature of our mission, i think what happened in OC2 is that the Avengers that "scorn love" have left us and the Avengers "born from hatred" still remain at our side, or maybe it's the other way around, Angra is also an exception to this which he himself recognizes, claiming that other Avengers have different methods of avenging from him, or maybe he's simply the opposite type of Avenger as only a handful were out when his interlude released

I originally just saw it as- "angra is the original avenger, he decides if his class goals align with chaldea or no" But then i remembered who angra is as a person and laziness to answer the call seems more likely

I dont think thats the reason why the avengers left chaldea, i get theres alot of bad translations, also yea the abigail thing is correct, i dont think we'll get any other avengers till after the final battle. Also another mild spoiler -NONE of the extra class can be there at the final battle- The more accurate quote is "Only seven seats may battle to save the human order--- that is how it has been since the beginning, but perhaps there might be a single exception" Spoiler Its mostly that, avengers are too violent, if we brought them to the final battle its equavalent to burning down the hospital to get one person, so unless were willing to destroy the world to kill the alien god, we cannot use the avengers Last major spoiler -Jalter is gone, shes not a real heroic spirit like the other avenger, shes the wet dream of gilles that chaldeas recorded down and summoned. She has no place in the throne of heroes and when she got recalled, shes gone- Sorry I dont even know where this part about jalter even came from. I read through the ending part of OC2 again and saw no part of that even mentioned this.

All these sacrifices we keep making to restore proper human history, and I bet that even if we do manage it we will still be rejected as an existence incompatible with it. And we’ll end up going off somewhere else where the story can continue and all of our friends can come back

I would say that your comments on Angra Mainyu seem to be on line with how he behaved in Hollow Ataraxia. Spoiler: In that game he chose to go back to wherever he came from, freeing everyone from the time loop because after living in Fuyuki from Shirou's perspective he derised to live new experiences more than to take revenge, i see this as something similar to one of the comments made by kid Gil on that same game, i think that it Shirou who questioned him about why did his adult self hated humans so much yet his younger version seem to really love humanity, to wich he answered that his older self still loves humanity but his hatred of certain aspects of them has a bigger wheight.

I would be more destroyed if we will have to fight our Avenger friends when we see em again. Also, there's the fact that Jalter had a back tattoo after her animation update until the devs patched that out a week after. What these markings on her back could mean, we don't know, but I feel it's plot-important (prolly connected to us re-establishing our link with her and the other Avengers) and not just some extraneous detail they decided to remove.

I'm formulating a headcannon where Jalter is hiding out in Osakaabehime's room in Csejte Pyramid Himeji Castle because of its amenities for her hobby and likelyhood Osakabehime is going to cooperate when her collection is under threat of burning in hellfire.

Apple Manju probably stayed because he's not a real Avenger. He's a Beast Candidate who was not supposed to be able to be summoned as a servant. There's a reason why he's supremely powerful and able to corrupt the Holy Grail while also being the weakest servant, or why Kojiro is an unparalleled master of the sword but such a weak Assassin. He doesn't belong to his class.

Realistically I do not see Sony letting FGO end only a few years after acquiring the rights to it. They’ll keep it going for as long as the money is rolling in.

my guess: maybe for the tenth anniversary, maybe later, but I see us fighting all avengers that left to bring them back. basically proving ourselves worthy to have the avengers as your allies again. to help us fight whatever comes after U Olga. or, my other theory: the avengers are the next thing after U Olga. Like we had the crypters, go into each LB and fight them. the avengers form a group to stop us from our future goal (what ever that will be exactly)

From what I can tell, they seem to be waiting for us.

I believe its possible during one of the Ordeal Calls (or maybe even the end of the Part 3 series), the our goals would have re-alligned with the avengers, and they re-create the contract

the goal of avenger is to uncover, reveal, and correct injustices, and there is currently one injustice left on the bleach earth, that being Chaldea so they all basically went ahead, and dantes said they would all see each other again for the showdown.

So, since you’re talking spoilers, I’ll ask; when you say “We were given a choice” do you mean a case of “There’s a single dialog choice, but you have to select it yourself” type of case? Also, I’m assuming the Avengers leaving is more just like Musashi “Dying”, in the sense of “you can still summon them in the gacha and use them, but story wise they ain’t technically there no more?

I’m wondering what type-moon has in store for us in the Ruler chapter of Ordeal Call. Because it looks like we’ll have to fight servants based on Biblical figures.

With Ordeal Call 2 being called ID and the whole Ordeal Call story calling out the Avenger, Ruler, and Alter Ego classes my theory of how the following chapters will go was that OC3 would be about the Alter Egos (the chapters itself being called Ego similar to 2 being Id) probably going into depth about what it's like being an Alter Ego and having multiple entities/personalities in one Saint Graph and how it can sometimes be difficult to balance all of that. Then Ordeal Call 4 will be about the Rules called Superego and dealing with the fact that the Ruler classes purpose to safe guard and enforce the Rules set out by the Counter Force, namely that the dead must remain dead. In the end OC4 will be about the fact that eventually we will have to say good bye to our servants permanently, that no matter how much we may wish otherwise they have to return to the Throne and we'll have to go on living without them. Finally at the end of OC4 the last Marie attacks us and just like Cagliostro stated Chaldea can't beat her and in the end our servants sacrifice themselves to let us escape, starting a secret Ordeal Call 5 where we get the help of the Beast class to finally beat the last Marie probably ending with either A us summoning U-Olga Marie as the first welfare five star, or B as the first six star servant. Looking more into it this idea probably isn't going to happen since it looks like there is only supposed to be three ordeal calls (I just assumed it was going to be at least four and didn't look up the actually number until just now.) Still, you can never be sure, they may pull a fast one on us and either add a cannon event that technically isn't an Ordeal Call similar to Ooku, or just go "LOL nope we always meant to have 5, 6, 7+ Ordeal Calls"

I dont play JP but does finishing OC2 mean you can no longer use them in free quests and events or is it just for story? Because im not gonna lie, if the game outright says i cant use those characters anymore, what the hell was the point in saving/spending for those characters...
