The explanation for the thanos look is that he doesn’t consider Earth a threat at all so he doesn’t bother with any of the armor. Pretty much the ultimate disrespect.

I'm not understanding the hate on Thanos's look. Seems to me he drops his armor cause he looks down so much upon these "heroes" of Earth. He simply knows he will not need it especially with a couple of Infinity Stones on his side.

Joe, the reason thanos has no armour is that he has no need to have any. Once thanos acquires the gems there is no use for any sort of protection because he is technically a god. Also the scene with Thor pulling the handles could be him forging a new hammer.

Thanos isn't wearing the armour because it was either Kevin Feige or one of the directors who said Thanos doesn't feel the need for armour when he has the gauntlet because he feels unstoppable

The reason Thanos doesn't wear armour was said on an interview stating the more stones he gathers the more powerful he becomes and armour isn't a necessity as it once was when he was a war lord without the stones. Although I prefer him with his armour I just want him to destroy everything with a few punches.

Hey DC! I have one word for you for how you can build a franchise like this: Patience

They didn't stick with the warlord armor design because you don't need armor when u have the gauntlet. The no armor is symbolic of what he sees as his own godhood. Casual fans (almost all of you reacting) are going to be shocked at the depth and meaning Thanos has as a character tbh. He is absolutely not just another cgi villain. You guys are not even ready lol This is going to be great.

So an accounting of the infinity stones. The purple one from guardians 1 : locked in a vault on Xandar Blue one (aka the Tesseract) : In the possession of Loki who took it from Asgard weapons vault. The Aether from thor 2 : Locked in the Collectors Vault. The Mind Gem : Embedded in Vision's skull on earth. The Time Gem : In the possession of earths sorcerers. In the trailer we see that thanos already has the purple gem when he gets to earth, so we can assume that he fucks up Xandar at some point after the first guardians movie. He also has the blue gem (aka the tesseract) Which we can assume he gets from loki directly after the events of thor ragnarok. The trailer shows him ripping the mind gem from Vision's skull.... which literally everybody saw coming. Those are the 3 gems that we know Thanos knows about from previous movies. He knew their locations beyond any shadow of a doubt. We can assume that he will have 3/5 at least in this movie.

Looking back on this and after Endgame it's pretty cool to see peoples predictions beforehand and see if they're predictions came true. Joe made some pretty good predictions

Here's the way I see it. Marvel vs. DC is not an actual thing. No one wants one with the expense of the other. We want both. It's like Marvel is the mother, DC is the father. Mom is always awesome, but we all want dad to do well, too. It's just that the big, bad corporation employing him that is making him screw things up time after time. We want him to find his way and be that dad we all know he can be. Also, with this theory, May 2018 will be mom in Christmas mode! I cannot friggin' wait : )

Thanos doesn't wear armor because after he gets the first stone he doesn't feel the need of having armor. The Russo brothers said it's a philosophical journey of him balancing the universe. In the trailer you hear the voice over say "you can dread it, run from it. But destiny will arrive" as Thanos comes in using the space stone. It's showing that he's the avengers destiny. Beautiful

But Disney already killed all the heroes in Rogue One...

I have one question though: where the hell is Ant-man? Isn’t this is supposed be culmination of all the heroes of the MCU

Personally, I think Loki sends Thor and Hulk (and Valkyrie?) away using the Tesseract. In the leaked trailer for Infinity War, the GotG are shown to meet Thor when he literally flies outta nowhere and hits their ship's windshield in space. And Bruce seems to have fallen from the sky into Strange's sanctum. For them to end up in such different spots, portals are prolly involved, and that's kinda the space stone's claim to fame. Then, after he sent them off, he either doesn't or can't follow for some reason, and ends up on the Asgardian ship when Thanos' army boards. Its a massacre. And then Loki hands over the Tesseract; I'm hoping in a ploy to try to be a man on the inside and I'm also hoping he doesn't die. >_>

I don't know the name of the stones so I'll go by color. The Nova Corps has the purple stone. Loki has the blue stone. Vision the yellow. The Collector has the Red stone. Doctor Strange has the green. And the final is probably on wakanda.
