It’s interesting to me that so many people have said that the end of the movie resulted in sadness and silence. For me, it was the opposite. There was essentially a part 2 coming, so not all was lost. The story wasn’t over. The only sad thing was, it was gonna be a year to see where things went.

I always appreciated how Tony's suits evolved because of problems he had in the last movie. Well, you managed to reach the 2nd stage of the 5 stages of grief... Anger... so that's pretty cool... It's very fascinating the effect cinema can have on people... I held it in when other characters went out... but when Peter started dying, just the way he died... Like, he could feel himself slowly dying due to his Spider sense, which is why he wasn't "feeling so good" before it... truly heartbreaking and I let all the tears out at that moment... and even at the end he's still apologizing to Tony that he should've stayed on Earth... Just... wow! "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" that's not me, that's what the quote on the Captain America Civil War poster says... and as you see, the Avengers weren't united in this one, and they fell, and lost, and not only them, the whole universe with them... This really seems like a Thanos film to me after I think about it, rather than being an Avengers film... Like, it starts off with him and follows him on his mission, while the Avengers are trying to stop him however they can... and it ends with him completing his mission... and as a matter of Fact... Thanos has the highest screen time in the whole movie... which is almost 30 minutes... and then comes Gamora with a 20 minutes of screen time... and THEN comes Tony Stark, an Avenger, with 17 minutes of screen time in total... Usually a Marvel movie used to end with a happy feeling and good vibes you know, and I mean, everyone was feeling it when Thor arrived in Wakanda... that moment will forever stay in my mind as the moment the theater turned into a stadium... But then, after giving good vibes for the past 18 movies... they decide to do THIS on their 10th anniversary... kill half of their characters off... making everyone in the theater go dead silent and some even sobbing, like it was a funeral... But anyways, Nick Fury's dead too, and "Thanos will return"... Let's see where our journey towards Ant-Man and The Wasp takes us! Edit: Oh, and about the thing you were saying, about where the story could've gone if Star Lord didn't lose his cool... The writers were pretty clever in that department, so that we don't question their logic... they were only supposed to win in 1 out of the 14 million possibilities Dr Strange saw... So Dr Strange could've stopped Quill with his powers from messing the plan... but he didn't... cuz in their 1 winning possibility, Quill was supposed to lose his cool and eventually Thanos was supposed to win... So like, we can't blame Quill now... now that we know.

We all felt the way you feel, the first time we saw it too, but don’t worry Addie. They’re called “The Avengers” for a very very good reason!😉

Dead: Heimdall, Loki, Gamora, Vision, Wanda, Falcon, Black Panther, Okoye, Groot, Winter Soldier, Star Lord, Mantis, Drax, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Nick Fury, Agent Maria Hill Alive: Iron Man, Captain America, Rocket, Thor, War Machine, Bruce Banner/Hulk, Black Widow, there are a couple more still alive and more dead, but to name those ones would be spoilers for Endgame.

I know your anger, Addie. I walked out of the theater fuming over the ending. Did you notice that the ones that survived are mostly the originals....Tony, Thor, Hulk and Captain America.

@1:38 No, he didn't. As you'll discover the more of Thanos you see, Gamora was absolutely right. Thanos does not love anyone, as he is incapable of it. However, he THINKS he loves Gamora as she's his favorite, and the stone can't tell the difference.

I saw gown ass men and women stand up and walk out of the theater sniffling after Thanos snapped his fingers and seeing Spider-Man dying. One of the few movies I remember seeing in theaters the day it came out.

You have heart of gold Addie. 💛 I love seeing your movie reactions and shed my fair share of tears to see you have to go through what everyone else did when they sat through this. If you look through other reactions to this movie you’ll see many others reacted the exact same way. But don’t forget this is just the first half of the Infinity saga and we still have one more movie to go. As a ten year old kid who had to sit through the first (1987) Transformers movie and watch Optimus Prime die, I totally feel your pain. Just remember that all the Phase One characters survived and don’t count them out yet!

The conceit of this movie is ignoring a basic fact of life. Life grows. It's rate of growth depends on the species, but for humans, it's usually 2% a year. That means it will double in approximately 36 years, which totally negates his "Kill half of Everything." Thanos will have to do this all over again. Every 36 years. Forever. It's a stupid Evil Plan.
@Stogie2112
@Stogie2112 Год назад
It was Thanos's conceit for sure. He arrogantly assumed that all sentient species would benefit from being decimated. He didn't even think about how sentient species could react to being decimated in many different ways. A species could repopulate and destroy itself by making the same mistakes. A species could become nihilistic and suicidal and destroy itself. A species could become warlike and destroy itself or other species Several species could seek revenge on Thanos, constantly attacking him (Humans proved this to be true)
