Aventon Aventure - Off Road Test 

Cool video, maybe I'll try riding there someday.I think the Aventure is pretty well suited to the types of trails you're riding. I rode mine on some mountain bike trails near Lake George today. Having ridden those same trails on an actual mountain bike, it's definitely true that the Aventure does best on dirt paths, gravel, etc. The front suspension isn't really designed to handle anything more than a couple of bumps, the bottom bracket is too low for serious terrain, and the weight of the bike makes it pretty much impossible to "toss around". Having said all of that, I had a ton of fun riding the Aventure on the more forgiving trails and the general experience of blasting around in the woods is still there.

one of the better videos showing what this bike is capable of in terms of offroad / light mnt biking. thank you! I'm wondering if the stepthru version would do about the same or worse as i'm considering that one instead.

I’m selling my dual sport to get a surgery paid off. I want. Sur Ron electric bike but this seems more practical. Maybe I’ll get this for cruising around finding cool views and camp spots. Then get the Sur Ron later. Any regrets or issues with that bike? Seems like a good buy. There’s a local shop that sells them and works on them by my house. They speak highly of the bike. They will do all the warranty work too.

I saw that Aventon has a seat post 24mm of play in it, which I am interested in adding to mine. Around $100. I think that would be useful on trails

Thanks for posting this video. The Aventure is probably one of the best values for a fat tire e-bike out there. I have a step thru Aventon Level2 which is awesome as well. BTW, 21 mph is a little fast for a trail that is shared with pedestrians and pets. I prefer to take it a little slower and enjoy the ride safely. Best wishes.
