Aventon Pace 350.2 eBike Review & Assembly ($1399 Next-Gen Cruiser) 

I personally would use a ebike for commuting to work. Riding a normal bike gets tiring. 🙁

Thanks for the well-made and interesting video, including the detailed assembly: 'Very descriptive. 'Great analysis of the riding experience. Yes, that motor is very quiet. The only real negative I see is the lack of a front suspension. I'd also want to know more about the frame gap (a poor weld?) that you pointed out on the down tube near the steering head.

I got into E-bikes this summer and it has been great for getting around, doing some errands around NYC. Purchased a small ebike on amazon with my limited budget for $400 and while its fun to ride and convenient to store, its not enough to get me all around the city. The Aventon ebike seems perfect to get around the city comfortably! Thank you for the opportunity and good luck to everyone!

This is a fantastic eBike. I am 74 and like to ride trails around here and streets. Where I live it is hilly so this is perfect. I have an eBike now with 2000 miles that is starting to fail. I do not ride at night so not having a light is no problem.

I enjoyed your review of theAventon Pace 350 electric bicycle. I especially appreciated that its motor is one of the quietest that you've experienced. I like to ride on bike trails through nature and would appreciate being able to hear the sound of birds, a breeze through the trees, etc. It seems to be a quality bike for the price, as you said. There are several paths and trails along the Potomac river where I live, and I would so enjoy cruising along the river in a bicycle such as this.

Where wouldn't I go on this bike?! Commute to work, check. Milk and egg run, check. Going to the soccer game, check. Weekend ride on the Greenway, check. Living in an urban environment makes the Pace 350 practical as well as recreational. This would be rad to use day in and day out

My wife and I have been looking at ebikes. This model seems like it would be a good fit for her. We'd take it on the Erie Canal Trail way or the Niagara Gorge Rim Trail. Thanks for the informative review.

Glad I found your channel, via Sandy Munro- I think your channel will grow and do very well! I would enjoy this E-Bike, very much. It looks robust enough even for this old, fat man, and should propel me with ease and style around our small town of Hutto, Tx (just up Toll Road 130 from the Tesla Texas Giga-factory!). Hutto is very flat, so the 350 watt motor will provide enough power for this senior citizen- and even with just a 20 mile range, it should allow me to go anywhere in town. And as my knees are even older than I am, having the option for throttle-only propulsion is also great! I look forward to riding this eBike to our convenience store, our parks and amphitheater, and our diners. So- as we cannot attend the Fully Charged Live show in San Diego, it would be nice if this prize from the Fully Charged Show Live could come to Hutto- besides- it will make up for the Cancelled show that was supposed to occur once again here in the Austin area;- which seems fair to me-)

Thanks for the video and assembly section - that's super helpful! If I had an Aventon Pace 350, I'd use it to drop off and pick up my daughter from school and daycare every day. I want her to have the chance to see and know her city in a way I never did growing up - at street/sidewalk level in open air, not from the closed and isolating environment of a car. I think she'd be so much more engaged with her world. Would love to be able to give her that experience.

I have been doing so much research to determine if this bike is for me as a person new to the ebike. I would love to ride with my other friend who owns a ebike to explore Austin and the surrounding areas! Thank you for your comprehensive review.

I have been looking at e-bikes for a few days. Wanted to get one for my daughter who just started college. I like your review style, honest unbiased, to the point and detailed enough - just what I have been looking for. (don't like fluff! lol) College is not cheap! Want to make sure we get the right e-bike for my daughter and not waste more money. Keep up the good work.

Found your channel from the eBike Shootout with Sandy Munro while researching affordable ebikes. I really appreciate your thorough reviews especially when you note it's feature set vs the competition. Aventon seems to be a respected brand and I'm sure many folks appreciate the availability of sales and service through local bike shops which can be nearly impossible to find with many imported bikes. If we were to win the Aventon I'd start riding on Lansing's River trail and hopefully branch out from there for extended rides.

If I had a ebike like this I'd probably use it for commuting to work. Looks comfortable, I like the seat.

Great reviews! If I had an Aventon ebike I would ride it...everywhere! My wife and I are preparing to start exploring the lower 48 via 5th wheel RV.

I had just touched down outside the Patagonia wilderness with my guide dog. I meant my guide, Doug. As we double-checked our gear, I had some slight apprehension that we were forgetting something. Unfortunately, I chose to ignore that nagging voice, and we headed out on the trail. A few miles into our journey, I realized what we had forgotten. Not because I had a sudden revelation, no. As I watched a bush plane circling overhead, a parachute emerged from the side door. Squinting into the afternoon sun, I saw my trusty Aventon Pace 350 suspended below. It came to rest perfectly on the trail in front of us. Sorry, Doug, only room for me. See you at the first camp. The real (boring) story: I travel to Pennsylvania every month, and this bike would be a great way for me to get back and forth to work while my EV charges. Great review as always!

Thanks for reviewing all the key points with this bike. It seems a great quality entry bike with some features that aren't always included. The light weight is great. I think it would be perfect for running around close to home...we have many trails nearby. I'm not sure if I'd make it all the way to the lake and back, but it would be a fun goal.

If I had the Pace 350 I would go to Red Rock in Las Vegas, it has some of the most scenic riding in the desert. Pictures coming!

Excellent review of this e-bike. This Aventon seems like a great first bike for me to use on beautiful, northern Wisconsin trails.

A nice, thorough review. I've been an avid cyclist for some time, and I recently started looking at e-bikes while I'm still recovering from a motorcycle accident (7/2021; car turned left in front of me) which limits the distance I can cover now. This would be perfect for running errands, and we also have a lot of trails around us. I'd be using this bike a lot more, and maybe take off some of the weight I gained after the accident. 😉

Thanks for this review. I have seen a lot or reviews on the Pace 500, but I don't need that extra power. Just a little help keeping up with my younger/ faster friends riding the bike trails of Cape Cod and making it up "Great Hill" near my home to take in the views of Boston and the harbor islands.

After seeing the fit and finish I decided to keep it. Great riding bike and I also love how quiet it is. I guess I will buy that other bike next year. Just subscribed to your channel. Thanks for the comprehensive video. I would love to use this bike to go around our many bike paths here in Sierra Vista Arizona. I would definitely try and see how it fares commuting 12 miles to work and back. I'd also hope it may spark interest in my two youngest daughters who never learned to ride. It seems like a sad trend. To me riding a bike was the next level of freedom towards independence. I still love to go out and a few years ago my wife and I did a small triathlon.

I would use this bike to explore the many trails in the west Michigan area. I really liked the time you dedicated to explaining the little details like the water bottle holder!

I've never tried an e-bike, but they sound appealing. I'm not an overly adventurous Coloradan, but having pedal assist to make it up some of the hills on the milder trails here would be nice.

What a nice bike! We have a beautiful riverwalk that is ideal for commuting in our area. As a bonus, you can see rafts and kayaks on the river while riding. This would make an ideal commuter for my wife. Our home and her job are both a couple of blocks from the Riverwalk. Thanks for the detailed review!

I will take this on many road trips. It will be used as an extension of reach from my car. Cities on my list will include Chicago, Poland NH, Denver, Port Charlotte and more. This size is just right to ride on the street or sidewalk in urban situations.

What a great opportunity to own an e-bike for my many adventures I would love to do from city to city. This would definitely help for the long treks and handling the hills and terrain. Nice review. My wife likes the refined appearance of the Aventon bikes. Do you have a recommendation for a seat post suspension product for the 350 and the Pace 500?

It might be a good idea to tighten up the chin strap a bit on your Xnito Helmet. Protection is best with a snug fit. Ben at Xnito says a large size helmet will be offered soon for those of us with larger craniums.

I really enjoy your eBike reviews. They are pretty thorough so it's easy to compare different bikes. I'm not sure this would be a good model for me because of the lack of suspension and yeah, where do you put the water bottle?

Another great review which pointed out the features and provided some areas where Aventon can improve. I agree that ebikes should also provide suspension given that they can travel at faster speeds than a normal bike and are often ridden over gravel and mountain trails. I would ride this bike at the Lackawanna Heritage River Trail which runs approximately 18 miles through several counties in Northeastern PA. The scenery along the trail is very beautiful and this bike would provide a very smooth and pleasant ride along the way. Thanks for sharing this bike with us! I also liked the tip about your biking shoes. They look great and the fun laces are a nice bonus! :)

Great review of the Pace350! This bike would be a perfect fit for my wife riding along our kids to school. We currently are riding some older mountain bikes that are falling apart. I’ve been wanting to get her something nice to enjoy bicycling more and this would give her absolute joy. We may even take this on the Kal Haven trail here in SW Michigan. Keep the content coming!

I would love an Aventon to cruise around the best place in good Ol Michigan (downriver of course 😂) and show my new baby, Dilynn, the ropes! I can see many trips around Elizabeth park and Michigan metro trails. We would have a blast.

I will go electric with Pace 350 around our neighborhood and around Austin.

As a senior, I would use this bike to replace all in town trips. Since buying an electric car is out of my affordability range, an ebike would be the solution. It would get me back on a bike, eliminate many car trips and solve the issue of gas prices. I have a knee issue and live in a city that has some ups and downs in elevation. Funny but I rode a bike all over the place as a child and now that I am older, I want to return to the activity of my childhood. Childlike not childish😊😊😊😊 I also would like to ride up and down our coast as the state improves bike trails. Hopefully up and down Pacific Coast Highway. There is a trail that take you part of the way to Santa Barbara before you need to go surface streets. At least that is the way I remember from my childhood.

I test rode one back in spring and have been wanting one since then! Since I'm only 5'2" I have a hard time finding an ebike to fit me! I've been wanting an E-bike for the longest time and have been trying to find the perfect E-bike for me. I would definitely GO ELECTRIC in the Everglades and the National Parks! I've been looking into getting new hobbies and biking is definitely up there!

Great review! One of the most interesting bits is about the gearing. It would be nice to see Aventon offer more gears for those higher assist levels. My wife and I have been riding city routes ad country trails with family around Michigan and Wisconsin. We've been thinking about eBikes for expanding our range. GO ELECTRIC! I'd even like to try some bikepacking at some point. I still have a while to go, but I'd love to still be riding in my 80s! It'll be interesting to see what the technology looks like at that point!

Nice review. I would ride the Aventon Pace 350 on the bike paths around Rochester Hills Mi. that have many hilly sections, which are tough to handle with just my pedal power propulsion. One vote here for the Endura wild laces.

Been looking at the Next Generation since it was announced. I can see myself riding from Ventura to Santa Barbara or possibly down the coast to Santa Monica. It seems that it would fit in back of Subaru Outback so maybe it would go with me to the Sierras.

Looks like it is easy to assemble. I always like integrated lights so I don't have to charge a bunch of separate accessories. Coming from just a pedal bike, it seems like eBike speed limits are pretty low.

It looks like great fun. I could use some assist when riding into the wind.

So I guess I will get it official and say the Cape fear River Trail in Fayetteville North Carolina. A beautiful Greenway

A very thorough and helpful video, Lacey. Makes me wish we'd bought my wife an Aventon instead of her Specialized… but I'd better not tell her. 😬 Especially since it costs 1/3 of the price she paid. Buyer's remorse! 😞 Now that I've ridden my e-bike for several years, I would prefer NOT having a derailleur at all, just one gear, and do all the shifting with the pedal assist levels. That's what I do now: I rarely shift the bike, just the motor, and just leave the derailleur on the fastest gear.
