I usually watch musicals to test my English listening skills, and boy did I really enjoy this one This is basically the forbidden Sesame Street that plays at two in the morning

I clicked on this by accident and I have no regrets.

Sesame Street got a lot more R rated since the last time I saw it

Let’s all agree, the best side plot was Rodd’s and Nicky’s relationship getting better

This is one of the best kids’ shows I’ve come across. It teaches about real world problems like racism, love, acceptance, and growth, and I think those are really important to learn at a young age!

Is it weird that their voices fit the puppets more than it does for the actual people voicing them

Having played Nicky controlling a "live hands" puppet is so hard, you have to be in total sync with the "other hand", and these guys did it fantastically!

The best thing about Avenue Q is that it gets more and more relevant as I get older

Rod and Nicky are similar to Bert and Ernie in so many ways to the point where Rod's nose is the same colour as Nicky's fur, just like how Bert's nose is the same colour as Ernie's skin. Edit: This is in every single version of this show I've seen with different puppets.

The puppeteer for Kate Monster is really cute. Like, adorable cute.

Why are people not talking about the broadway actress in the making that is the woman who plays Christmas Eve

This show was a low-key masterpiece of deep lyrics, catchy tunes, and comedy sugar to help the pill go down. I love entertainment that's legitimately nutritious for the mind and soul too. The ending song is my spirit-animal.

Ok, but My Girlfriend Who Lives In Canada is too real of a song, it's exactly the kind of excuse that I would have used to use and it's hilarious (like everything else in this musical)

I burst out laughing when Nicky and Rod came in arguing about the wall!

RU-vid kept recommending me “If You Were Gay” (gee I can’t imagine why) So I watched it. I thought it was amazing, and now I’m so glad I found the show. This is amazing!!

I've been wanting to see Avenue Q for almost 10 years now but there's never been a performance in my area. This is the only high quality performance on RU-vid and the only way I've been able to experience this amazing musical. Great job to the cast and crew!

I’ve seen a bunch of recordings of Avenue q I have to say this is definitely my favorite cast out of them all

Nicky said if ricky was gay he would shout horray. He did not shout horray. I am dissapionted

Rod was amazing. He really brought the puppet to life. The choreography really put emphasis on the songs. As a big fan of the show and the Original Broadway cast, this cast did really well and some of the characters did better than even some broadway actors that took over the roles. The real hand puppeteers worked well together. Great production overall!!!!!

god i'm so late but this cast did so well!! honestly think they're better than the obc and i actually prefer the set design- its so nice and more realistic feeling than the obc's imo. also i love how much you stuck to the original cast choices!! a lot of productions change it (making gary coleman played by a dude, changing puppet designs, one even made christmas eve white (wtf, it was weird) but this production is just so true to the original i love it :'')

i dont think ive never left a comment before but this has been my go-to comfort watch for the past 6 years my favourite version of my favourite musical :)
